This was our first and last year at legacy. My first grader was bored all year. Everything she was learning she was taught in kindergarten at our old school. We got no communication from the school on events or how our child was doing. At our old school each week we got a folder with all the assignments she did in the week with a news letter of everything going on. Principal was great and front desk.

I absolutely love Legacy Elementary. Their staff is completely dedicated to student achievement and strives to come up with innovative ways to help students succeed. Our family has had the pleasure of working with Britt Travis on several occasions, as a teacher and building leader. We are thrilled with her results and rapport with students. I highly suggest anyone with any doubt to visit Legacy Elementary and if the opportunity becomes available, speak with Britt Travis, or better yet, put your child(ren) in her class!

We have had our two children in this school for the past two years. All we can say is that this school ROCKS!!! The teachers are the real thing; they take time to make sure the lessons are understood, fun and memorable. My son came to this school with an IEP, and we as parents had great concerns for him. However after two years with Ms.Kron, he is now at the top of his class. Although we feel the school is wonderful, Ms. Kron has really proven to be a great asset to this school and district. We feel blessed that we landed where we did and would recommend this school to all.

My son is in 1st grade and has struggled with reading. He is very bright and loves school thanks to his teacher Brit Travis. She focuses on what he does well to keep his self confidence high. She is able to keep him focused on tasks that he would prefer to avoid due to his not understanding. As a result he has received special lit coaching and is progressing beautifully. He loves school and eagerly learns new things due to a special teacher taking the time to recognize his needs instead of ignoring them. Great Job to Legacy, Brit Travis and their staff.

Though our children have only been at Legacy Elementary for two years, we have been very impressed with the quality of teaching and the curriculum presented. In a brief example, one of our children was spelling words that had not even been presented in the next level at a nearby charter school. Our children's interest in Math and Science has only increased since they've started. This school also participates in mentoring programs offered by IBM. The physical education provided at Legacy is outstanding, I've sat in on a couple of classes and have been impressed with the involvement level of the students. The way that they are taught praises good behavior and helps to make every child become a leader. This school is located near a great little community that is growing fast. Open enrollment may be difficult, but if you live near this school it's really a gem.

This is a school supported by leaders who show they care for the students in everything they do. I have two children in Legacy now and one that has moved on to the middle school. Legacy has created a community. When my oldest had open-heart surgery a year ago, this school came together and made her feel special and remembered. They are great people. But it's not just the outreach that makes this school a great one. They demand achievement from their students and hold themselves accountable to higher performance. You can't go wrong at Legacy.

Legacy Elementary School is truly interested in the children it serves and their ultimate contributions to the community around it. Character education is a priority. This school stands out as one of the best choices for your child's education in the Tri-town area. Academically, this elementary school's CSAP scores are improving each year with major accountability goals within their staff and student body. The art, music, and sports programs are extraordinary. Extracurricular activities range from sports camps and classes, music, art, and dance programs, and science and geography classes for different grade levels. There is a before and after school child care program as well as a full day fee based kindergarten. Legacy Elementary is striving to create the leaders of tomorrow through education, community and parent involvement.
