A few of the reviews below seem to have been written by parents who were not able to make the move to the new location and have not seen the new school with the completed renovations. It is far from a "dumpy office building". The new building is amazing. I have told my daughter that I wish I could go to school there. She loves it! The teachers are wonderful and more than anything this school has a strong, loving and welcoming community. Please check the school out before you judge by the comments below of those that are upset that it was not possible for their children to attend DC at the new location.

My children attended Denver Christian until the school relocated to their Lakewood location. The school has suffered through bad leadership in the past few years which is why the move was necessary and in that process it has lost hundreds of students. Programs were cut, teachers were let go, yet tuition kept increasing. They now have to raise funds to renovate their current location. Denver Christian is sadly not the school it once was.

This school relocated to a dumpy office building in Lakewood that is in a terrible, difficult-to-get-to location. Denver Christian used to be a great school but has lost hundreds of students because of bad leadership. The education was good but they now have dumped a lot of the good teachers. The school's "society" voted to sell their old campuses and move to Lakewood only because it was promised that the school would be debt-free in the process but now in a typical bait-and-switch the truth is they must raise an additional $14 million. There is no gym, no sports fields, all of their "dream" plans will only happen if a miracle occurs. Most of the student body travels from far away which in unsustainable. If you read older reviews realize those are about a school that no longer exists.

This is a GREAT school with dedicated teachers who know each and every child. The academics are are challenging, yet attainable to those who apply themselves. The college professors delight in having Denver Christian graduates as they have been continuously challenged and know how to present their own work well. The sports programs are realistic and successful. Their athletes are honest and fair. For anyone reviewing this school, please read the heartfelt comments from a child/student, who is now an adult, reaching back to affirm their Christ-centered years at Denver Christian Schools. Listen to the students and understand that their gratitude and passion for a solid Christian foundation enriched at Denver Christian Schools is the real review. To God be the Glory.

Our son went to Denver Christian last year. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. The Highlands Ranch campus new principal doesn't belong in the position. He has no leadership skills and treats parents and children very poorly. After leaving we spoke to other parents who left the school and they had the same experience. The school has lost hundreds of students over the last few years. I don't think it is due to competition, rather it is due to the leadership of the school.

I graduated from Denver Christian Schools in 2008. I love DC because it quickly feels like home. The opportunities there are amazing. Every class I was in brought me to a better understanding of the Lord and his world. The arts are important at DC and because of its small size, students get many chances to shine on stage, at concerts and through different medias. DC is home to many very successful sports teams and has won several state championships in almost every sport. The head basketball coach, Dick Katte, has won over 800 games in his career -- more than any other coach in Colorado!! DC was my home for 13 years and I never stopped loving this amazing school!

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
