Our son has had a great experience. The teachers and counselors have been very supportive.

After reading several reviews, I was pretty stunned. Our child attended 6th grade in the 2nd year RHMS opened its doors to 6th graders. It appears as though the same problems exist. Counselors are an issue--Very Placating. Staff seems unable or unwilling to find easy resolutions to quick fix problems. Some good teachers leave this school. I don't know why. But, they teach elsewhere. As was mentioned by someone else, I too, am concerned about PE teachers/coaches here. We found programs outside of this school to be much more professional with kids.

My 7th grade year wasn't too bad (at the time the school didn't have 6th grade), but my 8th grade year was terrible, and led me to the decision to attend a private high school. Overall, the kids were immature and not focused. The teachers are okay, and the good ones don't stay. I was not challenged in academics.

My daughter went to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade here. It was an excellent school. The teachers were great. The choices of electives were amazing for a middle school. The counselors were great. We loved everything about this school

This is an outstanding place of learning. My son has started enjoying school again and has teachers that are more than willing to go the extra mile to help him continue to grow. (My daughter also loves Rock Canyon high school next door). I have had nothing but positive experiences with either school.

I would not recomend this school. Im not happy with it, no one really is. Learning a language is impossible, the consellors don't help much, and I've been having a hard time in math and its not going well.

I would not recommend this school. The counselors were not very helpful and the education was lacking.

I went to RHMS for 7th and 8th grade. My teachers were pretty good, but my experience with the counselors was ungodly. They have no idea what they are doing and I was extremely disappointed with them. The administration is horrible too, but as long as you're not a troublemaker, you won't have to deal with them. A very average school.

Teachers are great in everything but math. Kids are sweet, not a lot of discipline problems. Great programs, but for only a few. Foreign languages are impossible to get. Counselors are more like gate keepers for saying 'no, that can't be done.' Placement for math is questionable. Our one experience with one coach was not great. The coach was not knowledgeable of that particular sport, and had no interest in coaching and took no interest in the kids or the game. She was like a zombie on the bench.
