It has a good plan for high achieving students in classroom setting. I like the monthly character piece that goes with the IP program. I like as a parent I know what the units of inquiry are. The music program is strong and my children have to demonstrate their learning to me yearly.

All the teachers and staff seem to know all plans for all students and they act on them all the time.

I'm totally impressed by Alpine and their implementation of the IB Programme. I'm amazed by how my son has progressed with his reading and writing skills in just his first two years of school. We couldn't be happier with out choice to open enroll at Alpine!

I am very proud to work as a teacher at Alpine Elementary. I am proud of our students, staff, administration, parents and our IB Primary Years Program curriculum. We work very hard to differentiate for the needs of all students by thinking of what is best for kids. Our class size is not ideal, but consistent growth in test scores shows we pay careful attention to all populations of students. When you walk into Alpine you notice immediately that we are focused on kids and provide them with a unique community atmosphere to learn through inquiry.

We love the principal Paige Gordon. She is very involved in every aspect of the school and easy to approach. Teachers are hard working and dedicated to the IB philosophy. I agree with the first reviewer that class sizes could be smaller in K-2nd, but this is a district funding problem. I also agree with the first reviewer that resources for gifted kids are not ideal (again a district funding problem).
