PES is really exceptional, from the care and concern of the above average teachers to the incredible principal. My two boys have really thrived in this school and I can't imagine a better school anywhere. We love Mr. D and all he has brought to the school!

PES is a great school! The teachers are all caring and passionate, and the students work hard to do the best they possibly can!

Our daughter has attended this school for three years. The principal is one of the reasons we feel the school is so successful. He really cares about the students, parents, and staff. He has high expectations for all and it shows! Good job, Mr. D! The teachers are also very good and dedicated. A great school for sure!

We are raising my grandson age 6. We have found Platteville Elementary to be exceptional. When my grandson was in Kindergarten he learned to read. This means so much to us. We enjoy reading and have read to him since he was two. We know other parents with kids his age and they cannot believe he has learned to read in Kindergarten. Thank you Platteville Elementary

This school has been a huge disappointment for our family. The school policy is open door and parent involvement is encouraged, however the parent involvement encouraged is only external such as PTO or SAC. It may be fine for some children but our child is accelerated academically while struggling with social/emotional development. The school has done very little to challenge our child in his strengths or accomodate for weaknesses.

Our experience with Platteville elementary was a good one. The sixe of the school is such that the kids do get individual attention. My 3rd grader attended the school from Kindergarten thru 3rd grade when we moved. The teachers seem to be on the young side but just by sitting in the classroom you know that the kids are held to a high level of respect and discipline. A good school. The principal is a very involved guy and everyone is approachable. I believe that the accelerated programs are somewhat limited. Parent involvement is definitely encouraged as I would sometimes just come in and sit in class for a while.
