As you might see in the other postings this school looks like a horrible hell sent place. I'm here to tell you that its not. The only reason we would punish someone is if we they actually did something rong. I hear time after time that they didn't do something and there getting "framed" for something they didn't do. I can tell that there lying because I saw them to. there is bullying and it sucks but the teachers (not the principle or consular) are always open to help you. this school is a little rough on the edges but their improving.

If you live in the Platteville area and have a child between the ages of 12-14 then South Valley feels like your only option, although you may want to reconsider a commute. As a former student I can assure you that your child s education will not be cared for in the slightest regard. In my experience students are subjected to constant bullying by other peers AND teachers. Is your child shy or a little rambunctious? If so watch out he or she is a scapegoat and has a good chance of ending up in the "angel suite" (closet/punishment room) like I was. I personally have put in many DAYS if not WEEKS in the angel suite for stuff I never did. After two years of this mental stunting I transferred to a Lutheran school, where (here's the shocking part) I didn't get in trouble or bullied one single time! OH! did I mention they tried to put me on riddalin and in special education? DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!! If any of the teachers I am talking about (including the principal) are reading this you may remember me. :)

Teachers at this school work very hard to provide a good environment for learning. Activities are dynamic and up to date for the 21st century. Students are given as many opportunities as possible to learn in new and exciting ways. Communication with the staff is helpful and parents are kept in the loop through phone calls, emails, infinite campus, and the school's website. I am impressed with what I have seen here.

This school has no sense of directon. The teachers seem to care less about the students. And some of the students don't appreciate themselves, espescially when they dress!
