My daughter just finished kindergarten, she often came home excited and ready to explain everything she learned. the staff and teachers were all very caring.

We have found a home at PSAS. This school is well rounded not only in it's curriculum basics but also the student population. Most students are reading by the end of the first semester of Kindergarten and most advance quickly to be reading at much higher grade levels than their own. Academically i couldn't be more pleased and we also love the teachers!

The staff truely care about the students--giving of their time and resources beyond the 'contracted' time. Also, students have a well rounded education that includes Paideia Seminars, fine and performing arts, foreign language, and much more! It is a welcoming school!

PSAS is the BEST school choice in Pueblo, Colorado! You can't even begin to list the positive attributes, but to touch on it briefly - there are teachers for art, band, vocal, Spanish, gym, media, library and that's not to mention all the 'regular' grade teachers. They have a stupendous reading program with excellent facilitators. The office staff is friendly and very helpful. The after school program is an added bonus to an already top notch school. Parental involvement is at an all time high at this school (because it is required) - too bad other public schools can't get this many parents involved! Way to GO PSAS!!

Parent involvement is great. Arts are great. Extrtacurricular activites are great. However, when my two grandaughters applied for COVA vertual academy, their skills were rated 4th and 5th grade for math, fourth grade for language skills. Writing reports, essays, etc. has also been hard. In my opinion, PSAS did not prepare them for middle school. They are average students. The arts program is the greatest. Vocal music leaves a lot to be desired.

Exceptional, the curriculum is based on your Childs needs if you child is doing well they advance the curriculum if they need help in something the teachers take the time to work with the student and catch them up to their piers. PSAS provides music to every student both instrumental and vocal. Spanish is taught as a requirement. And the after school program enhances the child s interest to learn. As a parent I have recommended PSAS to several of my friends and family. Many who now have or have had their children attend

From what I have seen the school does a good job teaching the basics writing, reading and math as well as adding art and the creative classes to round things out. The CSAP scores are at State levels above average or average. The school does require a commitment from parents in volunteer time. There is no high school at this school at this time to compare to other HS in the area for overall student success.
