I think NEMS has a lot of work to do. I, along with many other parents, feel that the school seems to create and enforce rules as a matter of convenience to them. Each and every student is not treated the same and is not given a fair education. This is very sad. The administration appears to be on a bias power trip most of the time and the children are not a priority. On the other hand, there are many teachers who do care and really show that to the students. Thank God for these teachers! Northeast Middle School lacks in many areas and the administration needs to 'take it down a notch' and be understanding to all not just their pet favorites.

I feel that this middle school prepars students for high school very well. The extra curricular activities are endless, and the friendships that students make are lasting. The teachers really care about the students, and are always around for extra help.

I think this school was a great way for my daughter to break out of her unsocial habits. now she has friends and talks constantly on the phone. but, the school gave her way too much homework and was very demanding as far as special activities. I have better things to do than cart my child around all day. and telling her that it is manditory to be somewhere that she can't be is un called for. particularly in the music section. it also didn't prepare her for highschool. although she got a lot of homework, (which by the way she didn't understand), the teachers seemed non-concerned with the fact that she was going to be bombarted with work in highschool. it seemed like they just wanted to be rid of her and be done with it. this is why i think NEMS needs some improvemtnt.
