Morris Street School was identified an the number one school in Fairfield County for sustained academic achievement over a seven year period. The staff is amazingly focused. The school's culture is welcoming and friendly. Morris Street School has the highest number of children living in poverty and who don't speak English.
Academic programs are okey. But the teacher is helping child with extra academic activities. Need more extracurricular activities.
In kindergarten, my daughter's teacher identified her as an advanced reader. I was very happy with the extra opportunities provided to my child to keep her interested in learning. Being a neighborhood school, I also like the fact that everyone is a familiar face, and by the time my daughter finished 5th grade, we felt like part of the school 'family'.
