My daughter looks forward to going to Pear Tree Point School every day. She is challenged, never bored, and happy to be in an environment that encourages respect & kindness toward other people and doesn't tolerate bullying. The small class size has been perfect for her - and she especially likes Mandarin and history in additional to Spanish, reading and math. She also loves going to music twice a week and art once a week. She made a lot of friends in other classes as they combine classes for gym & recess - and switch classrooms (based on level) for reading and math. There are so many opportunities for the parents to be involved in the classroom, on field trips, and with the school in general. I always know what is going on and how my daughter is doing.
PTPS is an excellent school. It is small and the students get a lot of individual attention. The PreK is stronger than the public school Kindergarten. While not as well known as its Greenwich counterparts, I would easily let the students test against each other. I recommend that other parents strongley consider sending their children to the school.
Pear Tree Point School is an extraordinary learning institution. It was founded by a couple extremely dedicated to education for children. The personal attention the children receive and the diversity of the educational program has exceeded our expectations. For my daughter's Pre-K program they are learning Mandarin, Spanish, Art, Drama, Music, Physical Education, Math, Reading, all in a engaging but focused environment. This is coupled with special theme based programs such as studying the Rain Forest. We are delighted with the quality of the program and the professionalism of the teachers and staff. There is definately a culture of excellence at PTPS. We can think of no better school for our daughter.
A small, challenging but nurturing school with incredible teachers.
Pear Tree Point School is a great school and as well as friendly. My children learned so much more new stuff to! Pear Tree is a very open school too.
The best elementary school we had for our kids so far. They have a strong focus on academics and individual performance but the kids still love to go to school.
