I love this school. The teachers care about my grades and give us many oppertunites in the school to study and improve what my grade is. The school is very well managed. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much happier here than i am at the cristina school district. I love my school and there is not alot of voilnce as others school

My daughter likes going to school at Fifer. She is involved in various programs. I am concerned somewhat about the academics. She is in the seventh grade, and has very little homework and does not bring home books even though she is an A student. Most of her work is project oriented. As far as atmosphere, she does not have to deal with the coarse and sometimes violent behavior of the students that she had to deal with at the Capital School District, especially at the middle schools.

I currently have a child in each of the grades at this school and have been very satisfied. For the most part my kids are happy hear. Much happier then they were at Capital School District. The only negative thing I can say is the girls soccer team and coach is very competitive and if your child is not a 'star' soccer player they only get to attend practices, not play. That was very disappointing.

About the tests

In 2008-2009 Delaware used the Delaware Student Testing Program (DSTP) to test students in reading and math in grades 2 through 10, in writing in grades 3 through 10, and in science and social studies in grades 4, 6, 8 and 11. The scores for social studies in grades 4 and 6 are not shown on GreatSchools profiles. The DSTP is a standards-based test, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Delaware. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
