My child has been attending the high school for the past three years and I could not be more disappointed. I had severals meetings with the principal over the years regardings difficulties he has in the classroom and received no support. I had to take my child myself to get a full educational assessment done . $1,000 later I learned my child does have a learning disability. I informed the school and asked for an IEP. I was told he didn't need one, they would take care of it. They did not and I got help from an outside source. Some teachers are very unprofessional and unwilling to work with parents citing my child is old enough to advocate for himself. If your child needs any extra help or attention do not consider this school. We are transferring our child and feel we have wasted three years of education . It's a very hard lesson learned.

My child had been attending Campus since 2005. At that time the school was ranked as Superior status in the state rankings. We withdrew our child mid way thru the school year in 2010-2011 due to numerous issues. The school is now on Academic Review and bullying is ignored. We even had physician records of our child's emotional distress over being bullied and requested he switch classes. That request was ignored by th school administrator. In January we withdrew our child to be homeschooled and with 2 weeks another child withdrew from the same class. Neith er family ever recieved so much as a phone call from the school asking us what went wrong. As a parent I would think long and hard about sending my children to Campus

My son just started 1st grade this year and I am so happy with our choice. He really likes it and was very excited to return after the long Labor Day weekend. I realize this is only the 3rd week, but I have to say that the evening reading assignments are engaging and fun. Some nights we have other exercises that are just as engaging. I love the calendar feedback that is sent home nightly too. The guess work is out of what to wear, other than color. I only wish the website was updated to reflect current information. Only time will tell, but so far, so very good.

ever since i sent my kids to this school they have been doing great. this school has helped my kids out in every way they can. there grades went up and they are happy. and thats the way i want my kids to be happy.

I do not think the school is unfair towards minority students but rather they bend over backwards to help all students attain their potential and goals. As parter of the CCS school charter and the Glasser Theory, parents have responsibility to volunteer and support the student's learning and students have a responsibility to be respectful, provide quality work, and take responsibility for their actions. Maybe if more parents and students recognized what the Glasser Theory is about they would feel that CCS is a very unbiased learning center. No school is ideal and CCS is not exempt from that. The administration could definite be more assertive with discipline and some teachers need to reinforce basic respect issues, but overall I think the school is strong.

Absolutely love the school, teachers, office staff, etc. The children are so involved with hands on learning and actually experience some of the things they are learning creatively. My children enjoy this school. I am extremely happy with what and how my children are learning!

I have to say I absolutely adore the school and teachers. The teachers are always more than willing to meet with parents. I also like the way that teachers seem to be very involved in all aspects of teaching. They carry their excitement into the classroom! My children are spread out throughout the grades and I've never encountered a 'bad' teacher yet. The administrators are very involved. Mrs. Hermance has always been willing to meet. I've never had any problems contacting her. She appears to be very proactive with the staff and students. Mrs. Greene has also shown her leadership ability to the fullest.

My son has been a student at CCS since August of 2005. Since the previous administrator left some things have changed for the worse. There is more solicitation for funds and with these current economic times it is harder for families to get by. There seems to be a little bit of nepotism when it comes to the selection of students for classes by staff and the discipline policy is applied arbitrarily as well. I know that each school has its ups and downs and positives as well as negatives but it seems that more negatives than positives are coming to light as time goes by. I don't regret sending my son to this school but I often wonder if he has outgrown the overall environment.

Our son has been going here for 6 yearsm we used to love the school. For the last 2 years though the school has declined destically. They have a very high teacher turn over in the middle school grade. Only one teacher stayed from last year and this year alone he has had 3 science teachers. They also did not get spanish this year because the spanish teacher left and they could not find a replacement. They call and bug you to donate money to the school s few times but when you try to get a responce from the principle or the teachers you are ignored. My son has ADHD and migraines. We asked the principle For an IAP plan as required by law on children with diagnosed learning disabilities. They have 90 days to respond and set a meeting up. It took 11 months! we took n=him out.

I was very excited that my son got accepted at CCS. That didn't last long. Though I was happy with the uniform code (which wasn't enforced) and the overall curriculum, there was no administrative backbone and teachers didn't have to answer for their indescretions. My son was a very happy and outgoing person when he started there with an above average IQ. When I finally pulled him out his self esteem was so low he actually thought he was learning disabled because of the demeaning ways some of his teachers spoke to him. The teachers and administration have no clue as to what the other is doing. And when problems with a teacher arise, the principal doesn't want to deal with it. I made a mistake putting him in CCS, it's taken me a year to get him back up to the levels academically and emotionally he was prior to CCS.

My granddaugther go to camous and she likes the schiik but she just wish that could hav e stay the dress code that had the girks would like to wear nice things bbut tey would like to wear nice jean or have then to back to the code of wearing red top andlight color pants it will make them haooy. other then that my child is doing great and iam gald that is is going their teachers are great So if we an get the part over and out i think the girls would like differnt andthey would better so please me so of you feed back or thus. As a former student I must say i miss the school very much. I would probably still be there if the teachers werent so horrible. As for Mrs.Onwo and Mrs.Green and the art teacher I was pleased and alwalys will be to have learned from them. Oh, and the facilities were AWESOME they have a soundproof recording studio and rubber floors in the gym for people like me who have NO physical abilities AT ALL.

CCS is a great school. My youngest son has only been there for 3 months and he loves to go to school. He is not stressed and is really interested in what goes on in class. He has become more responsible for his own work with less restrictions.

Campus Community is a school that helps each student realise that learning is their responsibility. There are very few worksheets and rote learning. Parents are encouraged to come in at any time. If you as a parent are willing to work with your child and their teacher, then this is the perfect school for your child!

Campus is a very focused school and offers parents looking for an alternative from the public system an excellent change. It is extremely family oriented and strong commitment and parental involvement. I think the staff and teachers are excellent and it is worth comparing to the local public schools.

The administrator of this school is unaware of its policy's. My daughter was accepted to the school after discussing her early enrollment and her November birthday with him on two occasions where he stated it would be no problem as long as she passed a pre-screening test. I was informed after she got a lottery position and passed the screening test that she would not be able to attend because of her birthday. I was told this one month before the start of school and there are very few options available to her at this late time. I don't think I would want to send my child to a school where the administrator is unaware of the policies.
