Never witnessed bullying, but disciplinary faculty would handle it. Teachers are too scared to confront students.

They try to separate struggling students, but with lackluster teachers and poor discipline they're at a serious loss.

Eastside has potential to be better. They don't challenge the students academically, and in most cases, teachers are willing to simply give students answers to avoid explaining information. Discipline is the main issue and only a handful of students have teachers who control their classrooms. The rest act timid, flustered, and distant from their students which cause conmunication issues so student-teacher relationships are extremely fragile. I question how much students learn because they call in substitutes, literally, everyday. And the work left by absent teachers are busy work packets that aren't counted towards their grades. The most shameful is how the faculty blames the students for their academics and behavior. It's almost as if the kids run the school and the teachers rather play victim than take charge. It's tough to reform a school, I get that. Some students are a challenge due to other personal issues, I get that. But like I stated before, Eastside has potential but needs a lot of work and new leadership.

my son attends east side charter school and i feel its one the worse mistakes i have made as a parent. there is no structure or professionalism in this school at all. My sons teacher quit last month and the behavior in the classroom is disturbing. I am worried that my child is not going to be prepared for first grade because the lack of education and the time being wasted in the school each day. As a parent i feel like i let my child down in making this decision to send him there. This school needs some serious guidance and i count the days down until June 10th so my son can be out of there for good....

Teacher effectiveness: Disagree

I was impressed by her original teacher the replacement comes from pre-k and says he has to get to know the kids. I don't know how long that supposed to take

Amount of homework: Disagree

I have no idea what her new teacher Is doing with my child. She rarely comes home even able to say what she did in class. She seems confused.
