well i hate the dress code and the tardy system but we have great sports like soccer and cheerleading and some pretty cool teachers.. i think that they should really help more with helping kids stay on the right track.

I'm a student at AHS. I've only been there 2 years now and I think it's a great school. All of the staff is involved with the students and are willing to help. We have recently gotten a new principal and he is a great guy. Many students are having a tough time getting used to him because out last principal was also a great man. Overall the new one is doing is best to have everything under control. I give him props. The only complaint that I have and that I hear almost every week is that the buildings are a little run down. AHS has been there for over 50 years I believe- it's time for a paint job! We have begun planting more plants around the Main Office and Gym. There is word of a remodel, too. I really enjoy going to AHS and plan on graduating there!

I have one of five kids in AHS since 2003-2004. I love the way the principal interacts with the students. He REALLY cares, and even when they don't respond properly or accordantly to the rules, he always have a firm, but extremely loving and kind way of disciple. As a parent you'll need to keep listening to your student and tracking their progress, like in any other school, but you can opt to receive emails about your student academic progress and assistance here. The teachers, mostly, are great. The only issue is LUNCH. It is crazy and doesn't give time for everyone to get their meal or even finish lunch on time. I hope this issue can be resolve during this year, because I've been dealing with this for the past 2 years now. The bad side effect of it, my daughter doesn't eat right or at all, anymore during lunch.

This is a great school. It is in a small town and everyone comes out to enjoy the football games. Atheletics is important as well as academics.

I think AHS is a fine school. The principal and teachers are top notch. My only complaint is the number of parents who aren't doing their jobs.

The best thing about Auburndale High School is the principal, Mr. Joe. Every morning and every afternoon he shares with the kids that he loves them. Zero tolerance for bullying, disrespect to teachers and peers, drugs...for the most part, the teaching staff is outsanding. This is the best public high school in the state of Florida.

I think the school is doing everything to keep our students safe, this year they have put in even more security for our kids, the principal is a great guy Mr. Joe is one of the best principals i've ever seen. I hope he stays there a long time. Grades on a website where i can keep watch on my kids without even asking them. Overall it is a great school.
