I would highly recommend Sunshine Academy for their infant care. As a working mother, you want to be certain that your child is left in a loving, caring environment where the staff exercise Christian values and love God. The teachers in the infant room are warm and caring. The one thing that stands out about Sunshine Academy is that it is a VERY clean environment for your baby. This is very important. Every evening as I am leaving the infant room is being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The teachers talk to the babies, not baby talk, but they talk to the babies in complete sentences. This is awesome for their development. Also, the school listens to the wishes of the mother. The director goes out of her way to make sure parents are happy. In addition, you can tell that the people who work for Sunshine view this as their ministry, not a job. I only have experience with their infant room. I am a happy mother.

I have 2 children (4 years old and 1.5 years old) that attend this school and I extremely highly recommend the school as well as the church. I was referred to this school by several friends whose children attended SSA from Infant all the way through and they are now sucessful productive people in our community. I have the same faith my children will turn out great. They have family fun nights and over a hundred people from our school and church showed up for the last two. I have learned that my neighbor is my 4 year olds new teacher and when he told his friend/a recent grad. form the same class the freind became jealous because it was his teacher. When ever any concerns arrive the teachers are willing to give advice on how to help, this is great because it takes a village to raise a child.

My child gets to learn in loving, safe environment that teaches christian values. He loves his teacher and she is good with teaching him his numbers and bible stories.

This is a wonderful Christian school providing small class sizes with excellent teachers. The best private school education for the most reasonable tuition in Manatee County. The SAT scores are well above other private & public schools in the county. My children enjoy the school very much and I have found the BEKA curriculum to be fun and challenging. The school provides before and after school care for working parents.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
