I fought to have my daughter placed in this particular school when she was in K. I have regreted my decision. Other than the Gifted program (which standards are set too high), students who are more advanced are made to sit by the wayside because teachers do not want to take the time to challenge them. Classes to me are unequal academically. I am all for inclusion, however, the entire class suffers because of a few ESE students which isn't fair at all. The principal talks to parents like they are idiots. She seems to not take into consideration what parents suggest. I absolutley love the asst. principal. She's wonderful with the students and helps parents anyway possible. Most teachers there are great! This school lacks activites for students such as clubs. Science club is available but only for a few months. Safety patrol is a joke. They don't do much.

My niece was to attend this school and honestly I was worried because we come from a private big city school. I was wrong, this school is excellent and the teachers deserve all the credit.

Excellent principles. The area is rural and poor which makes education difficult. At first I thought the problems with the school where related to Spanish language barriers, but I feel now that many of the students have learning disabilities and uninvolved parents. There needs to be more opportunity for the kids that are advanced, but not necessarily genius.
