I do NOT recommend this school. It was fine at first but this last year has been awful. The administration is the worst and the VP doesn't even have her kids in this school. The teachers are resigning and leaving left and right. A huge number of teachers who are still there love to yell at the kids even the younger ones. They do more testing than most schools which equates to less things being taught to the kids. Very disappointing and not at all what a Charter school should be.

This is an amazing school. I have two boys in kindergarten who are in the high acheiving class. Their program is great and the standards are very high. Lots of importance to math and reading skills. The teachers are very thorough and very well prepared. Very happy with the program and would highly recommend this school.

I hate this school... Is HORRIBLE! I didn't have a good experience maybe because is new and they don't have enough experienced, the teachers don't know what's going on with the kids. I ended transfer my child to a public school and now she's extremely happy

I am very happy with this school, I think they have been working very hard to put this school as an A in just 3 years. Teachers and staff so far very good, my daughter hasn't had any problem at all and she is very happy. Excellent school. Keep it up!!

As a parent I am very disappointed with the school. I enrolled my kids 3 years ago when the school open. It was a great school but lately the academics and organization of the school is not good. The teachers are very young and they replaced them a lot. My kids every year had different teacher at the middle of the year because they leave they resign at the middle of the year. It happened in 2013 and 2012. I started to think that the best for my kids will be to go to a different school in the area but they have friends there.

Definitively it is a great school. Teachers are well organized. I have 2 kids, 4 & 6 grades, and both are doing great academically. I can see they are very happy to go to this school which is very important for me. 6th & 4th grade mom

The middle school teachers are very helpful and they guide you and form you into a great person. They also help you whenever you need extra help. The administration does not care about what the students have to say. As a middle schooler there i experienced that the administration does not care about our concerns and opinions. Several middle schoolers sent letters to our principal; the letters were read, but nothing changed. 6th, 7th' and 8th graders are treated like 5 year olds. If it werent for the outstanding teachers they have I would have hated the school more. I dont believe that we are being prepared for high school.

Great school! My child came from a private Christian school this year to RCSCS. She learned a lot. I was looking for a very challenging school for her. They keep her busy even on break time with lots of homework and projects. The discipline is very strong, and uniform is mandatory. I'm planning to send my son there next year for kindergarten. I would definitely recommend this school new parents.

Our experience was very bad with this school. It is not easy to talk about it but we must inform other parents. Yes, you can volunteer daily because the school is understaffed. Sadly, they do not have any volunteer training or guidelines but volunteers run the lunch room as they see fit. The bathroom is down the hallway outside of the lunch room so younger children either have to go with a volunteer that is basically a stranger or wonder down the hallway by themselves. As a parent that has seen the difference from a child that was miserable and terrified last year because he did not feel safe at Renaissance to a child that is happy and looking forward to school at his new school this year. Mornings do not have to feel like a cattle round up with school staff yelling at kids to hurry. We expected people that work at an elementary school to be sensitive and act in a caring manner toward children. For the parents with good reviews about the school, I would just like to say don't settle this might be better than what you experienced before but you and your child deserve better.

As a parent, I think this school is excellent!! My daughter is only now is 2nd, but last year was a great year for her. I got to volunteer all the time and the staff was great with allowing it!!! The teachers even offer free tutoring if they think the child need it. Great school!!!! Yes, car lines are horrible.. but they are like that everywhere.

I have a middle school and grammar school student and was overall very pleased with the school. The third grade was outstanding academically and the teacher was wonderful. Middle school had a different teacher for each subject and for the most part they were all caring and concerned with her academic progress.

I completely agree with the previous review of the middle school. I witnessed it myself f on several occasions as a parent volunteer, and I was completely appalled. My son, a 7thgrader, learned close to nothing last year. He made straight As, which was wonderful. For him but ridiculous considering his academic strengths and weaknesses. We wasted a year, basically, and we will not be returning for 8th grade. I cannot speak to the Elementary experience, but I would not enroll a child in the middle school, ever! There are far too many kinks to work out and far too little discipline. This is not a school for teenagers who want to learn and know how to behave. They will be overlooked and even Penalized for the actions of their classmates. Run, far away, and find an alternative to this school.

I hated this school. It was bad. I went for 6th grade. The teacher didn't care. 6th and 7th graders shared teachers. There are bullies and the teachers and staff barely does anything about it. The students used inappropriate language towards the teachers. The classrooms were smaller than average. The school has mold. They treat middle school like babies. School lunch is microwavable. The school sucks at discipline. No buses. I just hated that school. Every 6th and 7th grader i asked hated the school and staff. Don't get me wrong I got A's and B's but the school it self was just a big No. If your child is going to middle school good luck with that

My daughter's first year at RCSCS was great! Mrs. Beresovoy is a wonderful, caring teacher. We will miss her very much now that my daughter will be going to second grade.

RCCS made a good start in its first year. My son was in first grade and had a fabulous teacher. He progressed very well in his core subjects of reading and math, and loved his specials; art, music, P.E. and Spanish (kudos to the Specials teachers, they did a great job). Communication with teachers and the principal was very good, there is a great information system for viewing grades and keeping up to date with announcements. Building out a Target building means small classrooms and no fields, but my son didn't seem to mind. There is a very nice cafeteria, gym, and nice facilities for specials. The school is making a big effort at providing varied after school activities. I am hoping to see more emphasis on actual math fact memorization next year in addition to the different methods being taught for addition (Envision math was used last year), but this is a comment on the math curriculum endemic to the public school system. Overall, RCCS is a good school choice and we are grateful to have this option in our community.
