Recently, someone shared with me the review that was made on November 8, 2014. My children attend Saint Andrew and I'm also friendly with parents of children of all grade levels. After speaking with some other parents, not one other parent has observed bulling or belittling by any our childrens' teachers, nor have any of our children received or heard of any other children receiving a "detention" for incorrect homework. As a matter of fact, during Christmas break, all of our children could not wait to return to school...which is amazing! Still today and when our family initially toured the school, we were and still are impressed with the atmosphere of genuine concern everyone shows for one another, the way the children behave and speak to one another, the emphasis on the spiritual and emotional well being of everyone. The only behavior concerns of the parents I've spoken to were children who recently left the school, as they were the disruptions during class. Many of the children from families that I know at Saint Andrew repeatedly tell everyone how great their school is and how lucky they are to go to the school. I recommend that parents take a tour to see for themselves.

I am a parent, new to the school this year in the middle school. We were very nervous about the public middle school, so we brought our child here. We have been incredibly happy with our experience. The staff is incredibly helpful - very concerned about the safety and well-being of the children. There is a strong curriculum based in faith. Lots of clubs and sports activities. Everyone knows the children by name! Wonderful experience and highly recommended!

This school is terrible. Don't let the fact that it's private fool you. The children are being bullied and deprived of self pride by the teachers and faculty. My child is very unhappy in this school and so am I. The teachers believe giving detentions for doing incorrect homework. This is irrational. This makes kids afraid to go back. My child is afraid to back to school because she is afraid of the teachers. I am removing her from the school because I am unsatisfied with this school. The class she's in is very disruptive. She was getting bad grades because if they didn't finish the lesson they would get homework and the test. I do not recommend this school to anyone.

I am very happy where St. Andrew Catholic School is. Our family has been there for quite sometime. Our Leadership and Foundation are wonderful. . We are greeted very well everywhere we go. The school offers many programs. The children have mass every Wednesday and Families are welcome. Children are learning both their Faith and Spiritual awareness. We have Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball, and Track. The school also offers and ESE program, we also got presented a Title One and Study Hall that was presented to our children which made a HUGE difference in our house hold. The teachers are quality. We have other wonderful extra classes, Spanish, Media, Art. You have to take a tour and just ask questions. Come visit our school. A plus at our school, we have a Chef who makes quality meals for our children.

I don't normally post reviews on websites but after reading the last person's post, I just had to write something. This is my child's first year at St. Andrew (not St. Andrew's) and we have had a wonderful experience. Interesting contradiction in the last post, attendance is lower yet class sizes are bigger, huh? We toured the school last year and I know enrollment was around 220 students and this year it is 250. We have been to both public and other catholic schools and can't help but be impressed at the behavior of the children, especially when we see middle schoolers greeting us at the front door for special events. The school uses facilities on campus and Mullins Park for athletic events and they are simply wonderful. The administration and office staff have been more than helpful - the principal herself worked for the Archdiocese schools for years before coming on board. This school is a hidden gem in Coral Springs and we couldn't be happier! The previous poster sounds like they have sour grapes.

Unfortunately St Andrews has not been the school we had hoped for. Poor leadership by various prinicpals and the Pastor/Monsignor have the school on the brink of collapse. In the years we have attended, attendance has not risen and class size has increased. Families receiving financial aid has continued to increase (to over 40% of families that attend St Andrews). Tuition paying parents are much better off finding another Catholic school where their educational return on investment will be much higher. The school lacks resources to provide educators with the tools to properly prepare students for higher education. The school refuses to disclose overall school ITSB scores as they indicate how poorly the students are prepared relative to other Catholic schools. They are not forthcoming with results of fundraising efforts and the use of those funds in the school. There are no programs for gifted students and sub-par athletic facilities - basic staples of a public (free) education. I would not characterize the administration as parent friendly at all.

Over the last three years, Saint Andrew seems to be going through a positive period of change and growth. My family is proud to be involved and participating in this process while trusting the proven track record of the administration and the experienced teachers. My children participate in fun hands on activities while learning and making lifelong bonds with their classmates. Our family has attended other local Catholic schools, but none compares to the obvious strong knowledge base we've experienced at Saint Andrew.

BEST SCHOOL ....SECOND TO NONE!. My family moved here from up north and we couldn't have found a better school to call our home. Our two children have fit right in. This is not a school but a family. The teachers are awesome and so kind, caring, young, energetic and knowledgeable. I love all the afterschool activities for my kids and all the family outings to meet the other families. The Principal is great and he exudes Catholic Values. If you want not just a school but an environment of true faith and Catholic Values, this is for you. I highly recommnd this school to all families.

Phenomenal School from top to bottom. The principal is a take charge guy and has done wonders. The teachers are new, young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and caring Catholic teachers. The students are well behaved and well mannered. The parents are generous and giving. I cannot say enough about the education my children are getting at the school. The curriculum is fully integrated and the technology is the latest for educational classroom. The afterschool enrichment programs are also well rounded and challenging and fun for the kids. This is not a school it is one big family. Stop by and see what everyone is talking about.

Five stars!! My two children are thriving at this school. The teachers are excellent, the principal leadership is outstanding and they have a great team with wonderful committed parents. This Catholic school has mass once a week on Wednesday and the children participate in the choir and also serve as lectors and ushers. Science Fair, talent show, television studio, after-school golf program, band, cheerleading, sports, chess club, Latin club, culinary club and more are offered here. There is something for everyone.

OK!!! Major overhaul and long over due. For the first time in 5 years there is a sense hope and real change. Catholics acting like catholics. There is true leadership going on and it is inspiring. The school has been going through a rebirth. The school has introduced virtual classrooms and the latest technology. Yes there were some tranisitional problems. I am happy to say those problems were worked out and the children are ingaged academically. The children have both a virtual classroom and a teacher in their classroom to help enrich their learning experience. All advanced math classes are taught by our #1 teacher of the year. Another huge improvement this year is a comprensive recess program was introduced for all grades k-8. The school has made so many improvements and I am proud to send my children to St. Andrew Catholic School. I am also proud to be part of the positive change. God bless our school and our children.

Oustanding academics, excellent teachers, loving environment, committed parents and Catholic values make for a winning environment for the children. I'm impressed with the new administration and new teachers. When some of the teachers left to follow their husband's to new jobs in different states, the administration acted quickly to replace them with excellent educators. In addition, the administration was compassionate toward the teachers who wanted to be with their families and let them break their contracts in order to move wtith their husbands. The new teachers got right to work not only teaching excellent academics but sponsoring clubs and helping the children prepare for the science fair. The new language arts teacher sponsored a Latin Club and our children are learning Latin after school. All we had to do was buy the book! My one son is on the track team and is being coached by excellent parent volunteers who were track stars themselves. The commitment of the parents here is phenominal and there is a real family atmosphere.

GREAT CARNIVAL..., but horrible school. The school is going to online classes, guess we don't need actual teachers anymore........ IOWA test scores are very very low, enrollment is way down, no structure. School is a joke. They have an advanced math class that is an online program anyone can get into for a small fee, school charges way above that and says it has advanced math....

The kids are amazing, but there is something wrong witht he administration when they can't keep teachers. This place is like a revolving door. The administrations seems to keep starting over.

Wow, I just attended their brand new ,latest technology digital classrooms and I can say these will really enhance my children's learning. This is cutting edge education. I am really excited about this and the curriculum attached to it. Definitely a huge positive. Couple that with warm and caring teachers who are so hands on, I can see why my children have always scored extremely high on their IOWA's. Thanks St. Andrew!

Two of our three children attend this school and our youngest will start next year. We couldn't ask for a better school for our children. The Catholic enviroment, love, care, disipline and high academic standards along with excellent teachers and staff make this school a wonderful experience for both children and parents.

I thought it was a 'big' school. I'm disappointed by the art of teaching, financial pressure received in all kind during every day school, therefore the parents involvement is so high.

I have two children that go to St.Andrew & we are very happy. I have seen a noted improvement in leadership & a positive growth in technology that I feel will prepare our children for the future. The music and media programs are great. The teachers & families make the school warm & caring.

My first year for my son. I love the uniforms and my son knowing his prayers,But since,my son has attended the school, they seem to be short on school supplies, but thats for just preschool, they always asking the parents to bring supplies. They also seem very strict, like they want them perfect.

Wow ... when I was a child St. Andrews was the school to attend... I now have my own children and pulled them out of the school .. with the recent quite large downsizing of the school the administation is only focused on money and not the children. Very sad that this great school has taken a turn for the worst.

I have been in this school way too long & I have another entering middle school. I did not feel that my child will get the quality of education a quality Catholic high school is looking for. My child moving to high school next year faltered in his middle school education. I am leaving to get better teaching at another Catholic middle school.
