My child just started 6th grade at the school so I don't know much about it yet, but from what I hear it's a great school.

My child's school is a step-up from his previous school. He's happy with the teachers as well as with his classmates (no bullies this time). He's in the gifted program and he's being challenged with the more in-depth coursework.

This school isn't good. This is the worst school I ever been to. The teachers don't even care about you. The students aren't good. The academic levels are going down too.

I HATED THIS SCHOOL!!!! I went there in sixth grade and at the end of the year I was sooo happy to be moving and going to a new school. Most of the teachers don't try to even help you learn anything, its like you get one bad grade and then they give up on you. The kids are no better, they all think they are better than you. If you are a girl and you are not wearing hollister or abercrombie, then have fun sitting at the loser table for the rest of your years. And if you are a boy who is not a sneakerhead, don't waste your time trying to even talk to the kids who are. They are all bullies and are not nice at all. I'm a very petite girl, and I remember that at my bus stop there was a boy trying to hit on me, and when i said that i didn't like him, he threatened to beat me up!!! And then when i told the school, they blamed me and i got a detention for pushing him away because they said it was physical violence. I am now an 8th grader at Ramblewood Middle School and I am doing a lot better in school, and i have many more friends.

Hate this school!!!! My son goes to this school and the teachers are bullies. They pick on students and everyone at this school yells. I went for a shadow and all the teacher did for the first 15 mins of her class was yell and say how much she didnt like that class. The vice. princ. screamed in my face after I told her a teacher picked on my son and slapped him on his hand and you all ready know they covered it up. Ask you kids about the teachers and staff. The principal cant even control his staff granted that he is new but I think if your kid goes to this school just ask them about things they might have seen that was unjust to them or other students. This school also does not follow up with children needs on a acedemic level. I was told that because my son was to slow may he should drop out and go to a center called Dave Thomas a become a auto tech. That is a heck of a thing to say to a child with a learning disablitiy and yet a that any child parent. This school runs like boot camp and have the staff of a prison yard. A bunch of liars they are they paint a pretty but that school has many complants.

We have a great school. The teachers and students work very hard to get the job done. The FCAT is one day out of 180. Come and visit and see our wonderful school. We can only teach what the parents send usl

The faculty is not only exceptional academically, but they seem to know and care about their students individually. Each of my child's teachers seemed to really know the personality and needs of my child when we spoke. I was very impressed.

Excellent staff from the principal to the counselors to the teachers. Every staff member goes above and beyond for the well fare of the students. My children thrived in this middle school. Many clubs and electives offered. The best middle school in the district.

We have had 4 children attend Sawgrass Middle School. The administration, teaching staff, faciliites, and overall environment of the school are outstanding. All of our children loved attending, and were well prepared for high school.

I am very pleased with SSMS. My daughter had some difficulty in elememtary school. Once she started SSMS she really started to excell. She is now in 7th grade and has all advanced classes. The teachers are wonderful and really care about their students.

SSMS is an excellent learning environment for your children. It has been awarded the 5-star school award for five consecutive years. Academic programs (such as the GEM program) available in this school are not available in most schools and ensure that your child succeeds in every aspect of his/her life. The teachers in Sawgrass Middle are the best of the best. Many of them have been recognized by Broward county and some even by the state of Florida. There are many parents volenteering for PTA and they help make Sawgrass Springs Middle the wonderful school that it is.

I rated this school the same way that I am going to review it. It is, by far, the best school, in my eyes anyhow, in Broward County. ESPECIALLY for a middle school, the age is hard to handle. SSMS is a fantastic school, and constantly keeps up with current events, and society which is extremely important to forming a childs mind. The academics are off the chart as far as greatnes, the 'GEM' program stands alone. My son is not only interested, but constantly being challenged. It is a wonderful thing to have your child enjoy school, he wants to go even when he doesn't feel well. I rate this school as an A+ all the way around, and changed my mind last year about moving out of state because of it, we will stay until he finishes. Excellent school, excellent staff! I would recommend it to anybody.

The academic programs are top notch here. I completely recommend this to any student of any level. Also, the music is incredible here. The band, chorus, and orchestra are both incredible and spectacular programs that really show the achievement of the students.

This school offers the finest elective program throughout Broward County. The music program offers chorus, band, Jazz band, chamber groups and orchestra to more than 700 students a day. Jeanne Halberg, chorus and Orchestra Teacher was the State winner last year. Ron Helm, the Band director was the runner up the year before for Arts Teacher of the Year. This is the only middle school that offers Health in grades 6,7, & 8. The Art program is one of the finest around and the Art teacher is one of the finalists for the Broward County Arts Teacher of the Year. The Physical Education and Health program has won State Awards twice since the school opened. We also pilot many innovative programs throughout all the curriculum. The interscholastic sports program is extremely competitive and County Winners each year. The teachers are extremely qualified and creative. The staff really cares.
