Glades Christian Academy

My children attended preschool and elementary school at GCA. I always knew GCA was the right place for them, but even more so now that they are in public school. GCA was such a good foundation for their Christian character and for them academically. Now GCA goes through middle school. From what I m hearing about the great things that are occurring in those grades, I wish my children were younger so they could have attended middle school also. I miss GCA and the impact it had on all our lives.

Great school! But there is no prayer going on. They do not pray in the morning as a school body for the children to have a blessed day, nothing at the begining of the day, not even in the classroom with the teachers. They don t pray as a group before they have lunch. For a Christian school, it will be expected to have some prayer going on, not only during chapel time. Just a valid comment. (this is not a public school were you have to hide to pray-or individually). Other than that, good school.

A TRUE BLESSING!!! After a 2-year struggle with charter school, where my daughter was extremely overwhelmed and wasn't learning anything, we found G.C.A to be a true blessing. This is the second year she has been attending and we couldn't be happier with the teachers, admostphere, curriculum, other students and overll top notch education. Mrs. Kelley last year was a super great teacher and we have been blessed with Mrs. Faria this year, she is awesome!! We love the religious approach, small classroom size only 7 kids last year and 11 this year...the one-to-one attention is great!! The school grounds are impecable and the school specials like Spanish, computer, art and P.E are fun & very well taught. My daughter loooves chapel time and we couldn't ask for a better administrators & principal.

WONDERFUL school with a warm and inviting atmosphere. With the exception of 1 teacher (who is incredibly immature) everyone else has made this school rise above the rest. An A+ school with caring people. My advice, be on top of things to make sure your child is happy and is learning at the level they need to be at. Every child is different and each need to be stimulated academically at different levels. Church by the Glades is an AMAZING CHURCH also!!!

This is a warm and wonderful environment for elementary school kids! My son has thrived and looked forward to school for the first time in years. The teachers are very nurturing, yet firm. The academic program is challenging, but reasonable. The administrator is upbeat and very involved with every child. We are grateful to have found this school.

My daughter and I LOVE this school!! This is her 3rd year attending there, and we love the teachers and office staff. They are all not only very caring and treat your children as if they were their own, but they teach them to handle themselves with a Christian worldview at all times. Plus, the fact that they are so family friendly and active is wonderful for working parents who enjoy being able to jump in and volunteer whenever their schedule allows them to. Can't say enough about this excellent school!!

This is my son's second year there are no words or stars enough to grade this school have been a blessing to my son the teachers everybody extremely professional & excellent christian background. After a terrible car accident he had brain stroke and unable to move his left arm he had to start from the beginning struggling in public school no help no attention too many kids etc. I extremely recommend this school.

This is my son's second year and he has learned so much, and I love the fact that he is given a great christian background. The teachers are very caring and loving....great communication! Very family oriented school and great office staff.

My son has attended Glades Christian for almost four years now and he has never been happier! Before attending Glades he was shy and struggling academically but thanks to wonderful and caring teachers he is thriving!!! I can not say enough good things and would highly recommend this school!

My son loves going to school! This is his first school experience and he is learning so much. He comes home singing the songs he has learned in chapel, he talks about his Bible lessons and talks about all that he has done throughout the day. The parents are very involved, the staff is friendly and has made us feel very welcome as a new family.

My daughter is in her 3rd year at this school. We just love it! I attended Christian school from Kindergaten to 12th grade, and it is very important to me that my daughter have the same opportunity. I love that she is getting a Christian education by a very attentive, loving staff. I also love the principal. She is very approchable and is genuinley concerned for the students. The entire staff have been wonderful to us! I also find their tuition to be comperable to other private schools, but with much smaller classes.

I believe this school is on the right track, but it is over priced and the principle is unprofessional.
