I think crms isi one of the best public schools in cutler bay cause of its staff and teachers the teachers will work with you all the way if you need help and it is a no fighting or bulling zone
it has great Spanish programs and wonderful teachers too all very nice good school too and great area for pe too principle is a nice guy and classes are very neat in my opinion security is always up to date on things going around and yes its a great school
Communication is basically non existant at this school. I get nothing sent home. My son has had a few good teacher in the 3 yrs he was there but overall I think they could do a whole lot better.
It is a shame that CRMS has taken a turn for the worse, the new teachers and administration have turned this school upside down in months, they are rude to staff and students, they dont care about the class sizes they just want the school to do good on fcat and get a good grade. All their efforts are focus on the lower level students and the advance and gifted classes are on the back burner as they say.
In my opinion, the changes made at CRMS this 2005-2006 school year are fantastic. The new principal, Mr. Ennis is truly a hands on professional. The entire staff is accessible to parents and communications sent home is detailed and current. The staff shows genuine concern for the students they teach and it shows. This school has coffee talk with the principal and monthly seminars for parents. One can really see that student needs are placed first in all programs and activities.
My son is in the 6th gr 2nd time around after repeating at another school. He is going here because the alternative is even worse. His classes rarely give homework, we are at the end of the school year and he has never had to hand in a research paper, a book report, nor any sort of project. He likes most of his teachers, but by what he has told me, a couple of them are rather rude, lack etiquette, and downright 'ghetto'. It seems to me so far their main interest is trying to make it real easy on these kids so they can go ahead in grades without the having to go through too much 'hassle'.
Cutler Ridge Middle has such a diverse student body that it makes the school very excellent. The teachers are the best that I have had and they taught me so much. If I didn't get an assignment they would go over it with me. It's a wonderful school, they have awesome activities. Some activities that are not even at other schools, they have a huge auditorium (the biggest in Miami-Dade), and they have a wonderful, awesome Principal! I highly recommend this school. From my past experiences it's a wonderful school for your children to learn.-
my daughter went to DAHS after graduating from CRMS. My son is in the band program and loves it.
My daughter has learned so much. She's going to the International Baccalaureate Magnet Program and CRMS has prepared her well for this rigorous program!
