Parkway Christian School is a very nice, well-rounded school. We have a middle school student and a third grade student. Both are achieving their academic goals set by the teachers and us. Whenever there has been a concern, we have always been encouraged to speak to the teacher or any of the administrative staff. The teachers know each of their students. The students are challenged and taught to be responsible for their achievements, actions, and character. We appreciate the extra after-school activities for the elementary students as well as the electives being offered for middle school. Both allow a great opportunity for the students to explore their interests and try new ones. While the reviews, weather they are 5-stars or 1-star, only tell the opinions of their story, a tour of the school helps to get a better idea of the school and if it is a right fit. We choose this school after we did a tour. Both the kids felt very at ease and we knew this was the place for us. We are very blessed to be a part of the Parkway Family.

I had attended this school from 7th and 8th grade and let me tell you that the staff was anything BUT welcoming. if you haven't been going there since you were younger, forget about being treated as equal as the other kids at that school. the punishments that I would receive were quite radical compared to other students in the school who had committed the same crime. the staff treats it's students like "family", but I don't know how good that can be. they were always in my business and wouldn't leave me alone as if they personally knew me, I didn't feel comfortable with the administrator asking me about my "love life" as if she was my aunt or something. the point of the matter is, is that everything is taken to the extreme at this school, the staff (not including some of the teachers) can favorite kids and it's noticeable and brings the child down, heck, I would know. oh, and if your child is a little different and has their own sense of style, don't bother sending them here unless you want your kid to be antagonized for being original.

My children have attended Parkway since 2007. My older daughter has since graduated from Parkway and was accepted at Archbishop McCarthy High School, where she is a senior now. My younger daughter is in middle school. We love the small class sizes and fantastic learning environment. They have expanded their technology use by allowing the students to use Ipads and Kindles for books, notes, research, which is great as they can access their school books as ebooks and not have to carry huge, heavy backpacks. The staff is amazing and very responsive to any questions or concerns at any time. We searched many schools before we made our decision and would highly recommend Parkway from Preschool all the way to 8th grade.

To reply to the May 24, 2013 post. I guess when the school had their little "Open House", twenty two people logged n and rated the school on this site? What did they hand out the website address to everybody? The administration played favorites while my children were there and I'll bet they still do. The "Do as I say not as I do" philosophy has no place in a Christian environment. The school is supposed to be non-denominational but leans in a very specific direction. I want my children to know they should treat everyone how they want to be treated at all times, not just when they feel like it or it benefits them. What good is an open door policy when they don't really listen to you or do what they want regardless of what you've said. The school is average for academics but not what we were expecting for spiritual education.

This post is to address the one posted on March 27, 2013. The school held a school wide event (preschool, elementary and middle school on February 14, 2013 where students and parents had the option to express their love and appreciation for the school or visit with Adminstrators on the spot to express concerns. Not one person had anything negative to say and the support for the school was strong. The staff has always had an open doir policy and continues to improve the program while inviting parents and students to be a part of the process.

This school has been nothing but dedicated to the success of its students. The staff goes above and beyond in all that they do. The mission of the school is sound and delivered. The staff follows through on their commitments to the families. Way to go!

22 five star reviews all on February 14, 2013. the next newest is January 2013 and then March 2012. It appears that someone is padding the stats to falsely increase the community ratings of the school. That should speak volumes about this school. My children have been gone from Parkway and have realized just how bad the issues were/are.

My family has been at parkway Christian school for nine years. This year my son graduates the eighth grade. The education and moral values that he has received is priceless! If I did not have another child continuing in this school I would be heartbroken. I have no doubt that my children are not only being prepared to enter into competitive high schools and college, but also have grown as Christian young adults that I am so proud of!

I am a student here at parkway and I love it. I changed schools in fourth grade. This was the first school I toured and I said to my mom this is the school I want to go to. The main thing I love about parkway is the teachers. They always find fun ways to help you learn. My teacher will always give us some crazy word on our spelling test as a bonus word . I love parkway the best school ever.

We researched many schools before choosing Parkway. This school was the most well rounded. The kids are learning in a very loving and nurturing environment. The small class sizes allow for more specialized attention to the kids. My child loves it here.

My family has truly been blessed to have found Parkway Christian School. It is a loving, caring and safe environment. The benchmarks that have been set for Parkway far succeed other private schools in the area. When choosing a school you must look at the complete package. As a former educator, I can't say enough about the curriculum at Parkway. I also love the character traits that are taught at Parkway. They strive for the well rounded student. My two daughters began their education at Parkway starting in Pre-K3. They continue their education one in middle school and one in fourth grade. Life at Parkway is a fabulous place to be. It is the complete package.

We have 2 children at PCS which started in grade 7 and 4. Our 8th grader has always achieved in grades and sports but wasn't challenged until PCS. She has been involved in volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I feel the school taught her how to study and learn the material which has prepared her for high school. Because of PCS, our 8th grader was accepted into the advanced High School academic programs. My 5th grader is thriving at PCS. The teachers are the main reason why he is doing so well. They are very loving and patient, but require your best and get it! He is achieving and absolutely loves going to school. The school offers a music program and opportunities to preform on stage, which most kids take advantage of. Lastly, PCS has taught my kids how to pray and have a relationship with Jesus, versus memories a prayer. Parkway has been a blessing to our family. We only wish we started at PCS in PreK.

I love this school. I feel so good about it. Excellent teachers and academic programs. The facilities are new and growing every year. Specials offered in Spanish, scienence lab, music, PE, art, media, and chapel add to the program. I love the emphasis on building good character in all students. It really feels like family here.

I have 3 children currently at Parkway Christian. The academics is like no other. The principal is the most dedicated individual I have ever seen in a school system. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a higher standard in academics, while keeping the teacher dedication to the students personal growth.

Parkway Christian School is an awesome school from Kindergarten to eight grade. The teachers here are amazing and the curriculum is fantastic. My daughter is a first grader and reads at a much higher level and this is all because of the teachers and their dedication. The atmosphere is very family friendly, teachers and staff know all the children by name. I love this school and would recommend to all my friends and family that wants their child or children to have a structured education with a family oriented atmosphere.

We're new to the school - we moved and had to start mid-year. My kids are in Pre-Kinder (what they call Kindergarten Prep) and 1st Grade. Their teachers really made them feel welcome, and they adapted very quickly. We moved from another country, so I was expecting it to be much harder for them with so many changes at once and having to go to a class where everyone already knew each other and had been together one semester already. But, from day one, they felt comfortable at their new school. Also, I felt very welcome from the first phone conversation while researching schools. They really took the time to tell me all the details about their school and why they think it's great. I really like the small school feel, small class sizes - there are 10 in Kindergarten Prep, and 16 in my daughter's 1st Grade class, and opportunities for parent involvement. After 6 weeks here, I have a very good impression of this school. It is a blessing for us to be here.

I recently changed my 3rd grade child from public to this wonderful private school. I continue to be impressed the with high level of academics, Christian values, and friendly, competent staff. We were worried about making such a big change, but this school went out of it's way to make our child and family feel very welcome and informed.

We chose Parkway Christian Schools to educate our 2 children after researching the schools in our area. Before deciding on private education, we sent our oldest to kindergarten at our public school. It was decided by the end of that year we needed to find a place that was better suited for our family values as well as offering a good well-rounded education. Parkway Christian Schools fit every criteria. We have been at the school now for 5 years. Both kids are doing very well. Looking ahead to middle school, we are confident that our oldest will get the skills needed to enter honors classes in high school. I'm so thankful we have a small school with teachers and faculty who know our family and care about what they are teaching these kids.

Great school. A little small. Still I am very happy with my kids behavior and the basis and principles they are learning there. It is hard for my to pay private school but after four years I can see the results and it is worthly.

this school is very bad do not send your child here. the teachers are very sexest. like one of the students got caught for chewing gum and even lied to the teacher and she did not get in any trouble. a few months later me and my friends got caught for the same thing and we all got detentions. favoritism is a specialty in this school also. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're looking for your child to get a fair shake at this school then make sure you do one of the following: Become part of the faculty Donate a lot of money Otherwise your child will be overlooked for several opportunities and be subjected to severe favoritism. Unfair consequences and an administration that won't meet with you in a timely manner. I must say that the teachers give a lot of care to the children and they receive a nice education. The "F" or one star unsatisfactory grade goes to the Administration. Shame on you for handing down different "CONSEQUENCES" for similar behavior/actions. This certainly is not consistent with Christian teachings.

We have had 2 kids go through PreK at this school. I laughed when I read the review from a disappointed parent that said how her pre k kid who went here for a short time "was reaching out to her and hated the school", and "listen to their small mind". I see where her kid got the small mind from. My kids are tornadoes & we are very happy with the school...I just wish they had more land...but all the kids I have met seem to like where they are. In my humble opinion...we are very happy with the school.

Two words...Great School!! My daughter is in her last two years and has flourished emotionally, socially, academically, and spiritually. We are very happy with the faculty and staff as well as the students and parents alike. Loving environment yet strict enough to keep the kids in line. The principal knows every child and is very approachable. Recommend this school to all who look for the best for their child.

My son has gone to Parkway since PRE-K3 and our experience with the school and faculty has been stellar. The school is small so the children get personal attention. In addition to the fine education my child has received, he learns about values and God - which is very important to me and my husband. The principal and faculty make sure the school is a loving and nurturing environment where the children get to express their own unique individualities. From what I have experienced and heard from my friends, schools like Parkway are a rare breed. Parkway Christian offers an excellent education with a sweet small-school family environment that I truly love. I have done a great deal of research on local Catholic and Private schools and I chose Parkway.

Very disappointed!! Per the previous reviews, I was mislead to beleive that this was a great school. My child attended for a short time the pre-K program. If your child is not a perfect soldier, do not send him here. They have no personal tolerance especially for toddlers. Also, very unaccomodating. Do not be a follow the leader parent. Some parents feel the school is always right. Trust me, this was not the case. We found that our child was reaching out to us and hated going to school. Do not do this to your child. Listen to their small minds. We investigated and found such better schools. Do your homework and research yourself. You will be greatful for this review. Good luck!!!

My daughter has attended Parkway since PreK3 and she is now 10 years old. Parkway is like a family, with the children's best interest at heart. Think about it, the principal, head administrator, curriculum administrator, office employees and most teachers all have children that attend. Of course they want it to be the best it can be, spiritually, emotionally and educationally. I am so grateful to have found this school. As a parent, I always feel welcomed and like my opinion matters. I also enjoy all of the other parents and kids. We all socialize outside of school. I feel South Florida lacks a 'sense of community' but I have found quite a community on this campus.

My 2 children, 1st grade and Kindergarten, have attended Parkway for the past 2 years, and my experience has really been great. I like a school where the kids can play tag, dodgeball, keep score in soccer and the teachers use red pens when correcting homework and tests. As a parents, we really have been welcomed by the school to become involved. I am also amazed at how the principal and other school heirarchy seem to know all of the kids by name. I had some trepidation enrolling my kids at a Christian school, because I grew up in an EXTREMELY conservative and overbearing Christian school. Parkway is nowhere near the school that I grew up in, and I am very happy about it. I highly recommend the school to anyone in the area.

Parkway is a home away from home for children. It is the best private school in the area. All of the teachers have a heart of gold and give 100% to the students education. They also now go to seventh grade and are open to 6pm for the 9-5 workers. every child who attends parkway will have wonderful school memories.

My child is in the pre-k program. The teachers are wonderful. My child loves school and has learned so much. The only downside for the pre-k is that the school is only open until 5PM so if you have a traditional 9-5 job it would be difficult.
