This is a good school. My son has done really well at this school. I was told by a Pre-School teacher when my son was 3 yrs old that he was ADHD, I hate that they are aloud to say such things to parents. I spoke with my son's Dr and she said that I never should have been told such a thing. My son is entering his 5th year and he's doing great. Teacher's are excellent.

This is a horrible school. My son went there for K-1 and 4-5. When he was in 1 grade he was so far behind he was not going to pass. We switched to Coronado were he excelled. Again 4-5 so many problems on educational level. Which seems to go away at other schools so I dont believe its my son. Also 4-5 there were so many after school fights and bulling. Which my son had brought to there attention and they seemed not to care. End of school not there problem attitude. I do have to say the new principal is great and I hope the school changes for the better. I have spoken with other parents who have delt with the same issues from this school and I wish more would comment in, def not a 5 star school.

Mrs. Persis is one of the best principals I had the privilege to encounter. She is dedicated and committed and have a heart for the children. The teachers are dedicated and make it known with the activities and hard work they put forth in their students work. As a parent, I can proudly say thanks, as my twins head to middle school. Thanks: Salzano, Laine, Baird, The Rogers, Fischer, and Merritt...What a pleasure those years were!

This is a wonderful school. My grandchild, who is speech delayed, has been in Pre K at Indian River for the second year now. The improvement in her speech and social skills have improved by leaps. The teachers really seem to care about the children as well as take great pride in their school. There is always something going on after school that gets families/children together. Any concerns we have are answered the same day. I can not say enough about this child, family and community oriented school. Living in the area , people will ask ' what school does you grandchild go to?' When I tell them Indian River, they tell me how lucky she is to be going there!
