J. J. Finley Elementary School

My son attends this school and I could not be more pleased with the education he receives.He came in as a new student from another country and I was worried about the transition but his teacher Ms Monda Poe, together with the other teachers (whose names I do not know) made him felt at home and he is doing wonderfully well. They try to help each child reach their full potential. The primcipal and the class teachers are always available to listen and help. Ms. Monda Poe is a great teacher and my child is lucky enough to be in her class. All the teachers I have met truly care about the kids and are willing to take the time to address your concerns. The PTA is also top notch. Keep up the good work.

I am a former Finley student. I absolutely loved Finley, i learned so much and the staff/teachers were above average. I would highly recromend this school to any parent looking into this school.

My fourth-grade daughter is this year new to J.J. Finley. So far, I am concerned that neither the principal nor the guidance counselor returned calls I made to them a week ago.

Great school! My kids attended J.J. Finley 2001-2002 as ESOL students. The knowledge they got there helped them a lot in their further schooling, back home- overseas. We, as parents, felt happy and safe about having our children in this school. All the teachers tried hard to help us, make us all feel at home. We appreciate that very much and we say 'thanks' to them again. I would always recommend this school - specially because of Ms Lyall, Ms Bagby, Ms Sabback, Mr Bair and Ms Delaney , the PE teacher and Art teacher(sorry, I forgot the names), to all new ESOL students and parents coming to Gainesville.
