this is a wonderful school, my son loves it ,he never wants to miss a day, can you say WOW! THE TEACHERS ARE AWESOME!
Sabal Palm is a great school. Both my boys are there now. They love their school and their teachers.
Sabal Palm has been top notch. I will be sad when my son's time there is complete.
This school has provided a very low quality of education to my son. First of all he was stuck in a classroom with a ratio of 34 to 1, even though they tried to say it was b/c they had two teachers, but that wasn't true. When one of the teachers was absent, which was quite often, no substitute was hired to come in. When one of the teachers were teaching the other wouldn't even be in the classroom most of the time. Teachers failed miserably in controlling the classroom and providing a safe learning environment. I would look elsewhere for a safe school environment for you child.
Our 5th grade daughter has attended Sabal Palm since kindergarten, and this school has met or exceeded every expectation we had - it is one of the best public elementary schools not only in Jacksonville but the entire state of Florida!! We couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of teachers, the level of academics, the interaction of the PTA and administrators and the overall 'friendly, learning atmosphere' that exists in this wonderful facility. It comes from the top down, and is truly a great place to send your child to school. Not one time in our six years have we ever been concerned with our daughter's safety or well being, and she is now well educated to move on to the middle school level. If you are considering sending your child to this school, rest assured you will have made the right choice in Duval County.
We have been at Sabal Palm Elementary since 2004 and have nothing but great things to say about the teachers staff and parents of the school.
We have been going to Sabal Palm for 3 years now to include the before and after school care and summer camp. This in my opinion is a very family oriented and involved school. The teachers are wonderful and it is a very up to par and above school. My son is doing very well there and I look forward to my other son going there in the future.
Children are safe, happy and high performing in this school. Great parent support.
Our motto says it all: A friendly school where children love to learn and dreams can be accomplished. I think that given the size of this school and the dramatic budget cuts that they are facing, our kids receive the incredible care and commitment from the teachers and administrators. The PTA and parent involvment is outstanding. I feel lucky to have such a great neighborhood school for my children to attend.
This school is the unsafest school I've ever attended. My kindergarten student while sitting in the hallway got hit by a 5th grader and the principal barely pretended to care. Mrs. Mickel is gone and this school is going to pieces. Teachers act like they don't see the bullying going on, and it's everywhere. I would never send your child to this school.
