Both of my children go to Whitehouse but my oldest is in 3rd grade. He has struggled all year and they haven't offered any help to see if he will improve until it was almost too late. Now he has to attend summer school to be able to pass. I know it's in the hands of the student but the school should provide some more help for academically troubled children. My youngest is in Kindergarten and seems to have done good so far. But I don't have much faith in this school. I am transferring them to a school that is near this school, because it has nothing but good reviews.

Looking forward to my Grandchild going back to WhiteHouse. Mr.C was so very caring about her education. I just wish she could have him him again this year. Great School.

Beware of this school! If your child has to attend this place make sure you stay involved and know what is going on in the classroom. Some teachers are nothing more than bullies and the principal just pats them on the back and tells them not to do it again. I wish parents all the luck in the world if their child attends this school!

Very unfortunate the school gets worst by the year. Staff is totally clueless, lacl of communication between teachers. No preparation in classrooms, Open House is a joke, no structure to students at all. Every year all the teacher post is school hours and nothing else, no information how the student will be graded, how many tests to take, etc. The books provided by the county arenot used by the schoollike they are meant to be. According to the teachers thats how the curriculum is, not truebecausey neighbor's son is in the same grade and sequenceof chapters covered in classroom is different. My son is tested from print outs given to the students that they cannot take home, insteaf of following the book chapters. Course materiall is what the teacher says, mot the books. Teachers do not update the grades on the school grading system on the web. Staff does npt know what is happening in the classrooms, the principal is a puppet, and schoolboard looks the other way. $$$

While there are a few good teachers at this school, our experience in the last few years hasn't been good. Trying to get a conference with her current teacher is nearly impossible. The principal is no help and rude. I am now convinced more than ever that some teachers are there for a paycheck and nothing more. Very sad.

Whitehouse has known lawsuits against them, so I would warn parents who are researching schools to keep looking else where. I know for a fact that the county and state both have had to intervene and re-educate many of their teachers and staff. Unfortunately, due to the union, this is the only means of discipline.

I agree. This school used to be good, but the principal and assistant principal has brought the school down. Both are rude and do not have a clue on how to treat elementary grade students. There are a few good teachers, but the others are worried about FCAT scores, a paycheck, and that's about it. I am glad my daughter is in 5th grade and will not be there next year.

I agree with a previous poster - there are only a few teaches at this school who truly care. My children have been put through the ringer at Whitehouse. Personally, the administrators need re-vamping all together. This school use to be a warm, friendly, loving community school - thats all history from what our family has experienced the past two years. I give Whitehouse Elementary the lowest score possible. Future parents - be warned!

Teachers should care about the kids more than their paychecks. This school has a few good teachers and those some that dont seem to care. I am working on removing my children now.

I took my daugher out of another public school and put her here. And its wonderful. The teacher cares about her students. So far my daugher loves it. And I will continue to keep her there. Mrs. Kesterton has done a wonderful job. My daughter is above the average student and her teacher challenges her. Which is what makes a great teacher. I give this school an A+++. The after school care is ran by the vice pric. of the school which makes it so much easier to voice my concerns and know that someone is listening. He is great also. If I have a problem and voice it to him the very next day it is taken care of it. Props to him.

Whitehouse is a wonderful place for children to learn and be encouraged. The staff is excellent and actively seeks to get parents involved in the education of their children.
