this school is by far the worst my military family has had to deal with. The staff is incompetent and non responsive, curriculum is force-fed to the students, harsh verbal reprimands to the individuals in-front of the class humiliating them, no leadership within the school organization, no and i repeat no organization in the teaching of the required curriculum. My children have experienced the best and brightest schools, whose pride and professionalism was evident the moment you walked through the doors. This school displays nor has any of those qualities. If your a Parent, a real Parent do not send your child here!!
My daughter is in Glynn Archer and she loves it. yes, building is old but very warm atmosphere. They offer a lot of t hings to both students and their parents. Such as, book fairs, movie nights, parent conferences, musicals etc etc. Teachers there are nice especially, principal. Very caring. He is like... remembers all student's name!!!
We love GRAE for the very attentive faculty, staff and small town atmosphere. They strive to encourage each & every child to reach their highest potential in very responsible & positive ways.Almost all the staff & faculty make themselves easily available to students & parents making for great communication.Extracurriculars are minimal due to funding, but at least the funding they do receive seems to be directed to the more important needs of the academic curriculum.Parent involvement also seems to have improved dramatically the past two yrs.The building needs some work, especially in the restrooms, but otherwise seems well maintained.Personally, we would not want our children to go anywhere else, and we have relocated 550 miles for the above mentioned reasons. The result was/is a huge improvement in our children's grades.Keep up the fantastic job GRA !!
The staff is warm and caring. Always available to meet with parents. The teachers for the most part attempt to be reachable by the students. Parent involvement is needed. Good job overall.
I love this old school building, large rooms, and small town atmosphere. We have had excellent teachers so far. The school tries very hard to help struggling students. The art and music programs need improvement however. The library is wonderful and there is plenty of technology used in the school.
The atmosphere at GRA is very friendly and caring. The teachers are very hard-working. The cafeteria food is typical of most schools (starch and fat heavy) because their hands are tied by monetary and state mandates. The lack of parent involvement is appalling. The school seems to be the parent for many of the children. There is room for improvement, but overall it's a friendly, caring, good school for all children.
