I'm a student at KHHS right now, in the eighth grade. After reading the other reviews, I feel bad for all those who don't know our school. I've lived in Keystone Heights for most of my life, and the schools are the best you'll ever probably find. Truth be told, our system is uptight and strict, but nobody is favored over anybody else. For one class period each day I assist in the office, and the administrators are nothing like what others have said. Teachers, administrators, and other staff all try to interact with us students, help as much as they can. We have amazing sports programs and kind people. We're not image-obsessed like others insist. I look forward to coming to school every day.

KHHS has good teachers but the administrators are very uptight. If you're a son or daughter of a staff member you recieve special treatment always and the dress code is much to strict for a public school. I think KHHS should become private.

If you have a child that is smart and can 'fit' in with the rest of the students then this is a great school, however if you have a kid that needs special attention... forget it! If a child threatens there ratings they will find a way to 'get rid of them'.

We moved from Middleburg, I was glad to place my daughter in this school as I only heard good things. I read all the other previews and although some were negative, my approach is then do something if you have a problem. My daughter was welcomed and made to feel she was welcomed, later her group of friends changed and she found her way. She has remained an honor student, liking most teachers, some lack communication, others are very connected. This is the real world, where life starts, you learn to be independent. I think the goals at this school are reached and I am very pleased with the academics and safety they provide. High school is the best years of school and the kids should embrace it, the real world is next. How you succeed is up to you. Nothing in life is guarenteed!

My daughter just completed the 7th grade and the difference between KHES and Jr High is very notable. When in elementary you knew what was going on and I felt that during this entire year we were in the dark. The Jr High needs to provide some type of syllabus of each class so the parents know what is due and when it is due. There needs to be communication for these kids as they are learning to become adults. I just felt they expected kids from elementary to act like responsible adults way too quickly.

This school strives to help all their students achieve their individual goals. Not all students want to go to college but Keystone tries to prepare all of their students for whatever they plan to do.

This school is doing the best it can at keeping up with state mandates and yearly changes. Faculty and administration keep their focus on student achievement. They also have a strict dress code: no shorts or skirts shorter than the top of the knee. No place is perfect, but I feel safer about my child attending Keystone than I would about most other public schools.
