The STEM program is excellent and my daughters are excelling at this school. You are expected to be involved in your child's education and they welcome you on campus. I especially like the emphasis on math and science. This year my daughter went to Kennedy Space Center, which I thought was a great addition to her education. The office staff is friendly and efficient and the principal Ms. Martin is very active in the school. You will even see her in the mornings talking to the kids. She runs a very tight ship

I was blessed to have found a school like this. Schools make a difference when the people in it make a difference. From the kids to the security staff, the ladies in the cafeteria, the office staff, the teachers and the principal they all work hard to make this school stand out from all the rest of the public schools out there. The school's staff cares a great deal about teaching kids and helping in every way possible. I thank all the teachers who have a taken their extra time to get involved and help my kids. Thank you.

Sunset Park Elementary has remained a neighborhood gem that I have been proud to teach at for the past 25 years. Our teachers have a reputation for their nurturing and dedication. Most classrooms are equipped with the latest technology that supports and enriches instruction. Sunset Park is now a S.T.E.M. Academy.

I am so grateful to have found Sunset Park Elementary. My son started Kindergarten last year and the entire process of dealing with the school system was new to us. The administration and teaching staff, alike, were easily accessible and always willing to help. There is a true sense of community among the families and staff and the principal, Mrs. Martin, is clearly invested in the school. I have been impressed by the fact that Mrs. Martin is present at all school events, knows the students (new or established) by name, and is always willing to talk to a parent, no matter how busy her day. My son had a difficult adjustment to Kindergarten. His teachers quickly noticed his struggle and collaborated closely with us and with the administration in identifying and rectifying the problem in a supportive manner that allowed him to fulfill his academic potential and enjoy his Kindergarten year. I highly recommend Sunset Park Elementary and give them a 5 star rating.

Sunset Park Elementary is a hidden gem in the east Kendall area. Serving pre-K through 5th grade, Sunset Park sets itself apart from other schools by approaching a rigorous academic foundation with an abundance of warmth and welcoming support to parents and children alike. Sunset Park seeks to build up its' students' self-esteem, to create a generation of thinkers and leaders. Sunset Park Elementary boasts a beautiful campus with the latest technology and innoventions to facilitate learning, including smartboards and computer labs for all students. An "A" rated school, Sunset Park teaches not only the fundamentals of academics, but also life skills such as respect for authority and self-governance as well as critical thinking skills. Sunset Park has now incorporated a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineeing, Math) program into its every day curriculum. Students will spend time in the STEM lab each week in which they will be taught higher order levels of thinking about the most important learning issues of the day. Sunset Park is an excellent elementary school and each child who attends can and will achieve his highest potential.

Love love love this school!!!! I've had the privilege to be a part of the Sunset park elementary family for the past 7 years. What's most important to me is something that Mrs. Martin and her staff are adamant about..... Our children's safety! Not only are our children safe when in school, they are also getting a top notch education. For this reason I rate this school five out of five stars!!!!!

I am a parent and voluneteer at Sunset Park Elementary school. I was first introduced to this school last year when my child started K. I was introduced to the PTA during open house and at every event. Every employee at this school has taken the time to make sure the children have the ability to learn and be safe in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The principal, Ms. Martin, and V. P., Ms. Abreau, know most of the children by name and take the time to speak to each student and parent. The school has security measures to insure parents that their children are safe when they attend school. There is an ongoing recruiting to get the parents involved in the PTA and become a volunteer. I could not be happier with this school. My child has learned so quickly and efficiently. The staff has an amazing ability to connect to their students and make each one feel they are capable and it ignites the fire in these students to learn. It is an amazing school and I am a PROUD PARENT.

Sunset Park S.T.E.M. Academy is an EXCELLENT school. I have worked at at this school for about 8 years and I cannot imagine working anywhere else. My principal is an excellent leader. She is involved in every activity no matter how big or small. She cares about her staff, her students and her school. She is constantly looking for ways to involve the parents and the community. Now with our new STEM program, we are looking forward to an exciting school year full of interacting learning, educational field trips and so much more!

I'm really glad I found this school, I enrolled my daughter when a year ago when she was going to start the first grade, and to be honest since she started she has greatly improved academic wise, and social wise. The teachers know a lot, and they are great people and love the students. The principal, Mrs. Martin, is really nice with everyone, parents and students, she's really understanding and a wonderful person. My daughter loves the school, and every and every day when she gets home she starts talking about what an amazing day she had and everything that she learned, and how about she can't wait to go back the next day. I honestly am a proud parent of Sunset Park Elementary.

Sunset Park is a fantastic school. The teachers, staff members & principal are hands on with the children and the teaching techniques in our school. Parents also show dedication in their volunteer work. This school is very family oriented, the love that the teachers & staff show is beyond anyone's expectations. I highly recommend this hidden gem to any parent!
