My daughter was in 9th grade for a few months at Coral Park High. She always attended the neighborhood school from 1st. grade and had never had such problems that she had in this school. The school has illegal substance problems and my 15 years old daughter is no longer in that school, but the students who provided those substances inside the school are still attending the school. The communication within school staff and parents is terrible. In obtaining an unsuitable and inapropriate transfer process, transfer, the completely out of time administration, made me waist one whole morning in the school. Besides, the school is clean, high security, and in good conditions.

THis scholl is not prepared for the Arts programs. A new building was built for that purpose and is not being used for the arts. Yes there are arts classes but no emplmentation of the ffeedback from the students as far as performances are encouraged. The Principal does not understand the Arts

I have gone thru this school two times with two of my boys already. The staff is excellent. The principal is outstanding, the parents can do more if they would go to meetings and get involved!. My personal experience has been great and now with the uniforms they all know each other, and all the schools have fights

Great curriculum! Students are challenged both academically and extra curriculum activities. One of the finest faculty around and a great administration.

I believe the school is very good academically. My child's teachers have been top notch, and very well qualified in their respective subjects. The principal and assistants have always made themselves readily available to address any concern. What I do find appalling is the lack of respect and consideration we, the parents, receive from the office staff. How many more parents have to pose this concern before it gets addressed?

This school is OVERCROWDED, the staff dont even care if u are in the office waiting for hours just to talk to a counselor.

This school is very overcrowded. As a parent, you must make it a priority to stay connected, otherwise you will be at a loss. The teachers seem to respond well to parents that are involved. I had the pleasure of being guided by my daughters counselor, which has made all the difference. Essentially, with all of the challenges, and there are plenty, it is what you make of it. Mandatory uniforms, have been a blessing!!

Great school! I have three stgudent in this school. Well qualify faculty and staff.Uniform has made a positive impact on school appearance. Great administration, run school like a clock based on the fact that has almost 4000 students. A gem which should be monitored, many will be speaking about this school.

Definitely overcrowded conditions that hinders the educational process. Communication between school and parents is vague and difficult to attain at times. There's a sense that the faculty and administration is overwhelmed with the number of students thereby causing a disservice to the students and communications with the home.

The school seems to be ood. A bit too many kids but what can you possibly do. A bit too over crowded but the kids do learn.

The school has greatly improved with the new addition and less crowded classrooms. Teacher quality has always been excellent.

Not a great school. Fights every day, usually broken up by police. The teachers, on the other hand, are where this school really shines. The P.E. staff, espcially driver's ed, are great. As are most of the academic teachers.

So,far so good. A big change with uniform, the only thing is know they have to inforce it.The new building will give a little breathing room on the over crowed situation. In the education department we need more programs for after school and saturday classes not only for the Fcats, but for the Sat,which it has become a very hard test to pass.Sport department, some of them need to change coaches, they just are there for the money not for victory. Security, they need to step it up a little more on the after school situation. There are many children that stay and run around the halls, for sports, clubs, classes,or to bump around, and they must make sure that the security is there. On the issue of traffic, well Dade County needs to finish the construction, and ASAP.

I'm an Alumna from CP. They offer great extracurricular activities (e.g., band, chorus, great drama dept., football, etc.). From my own experience, I found the campus to be diverse and very middle-of-the-road. I did not encounter any gang or drug problems in my three years there. I did not notice an emphasis in parent involvement overall. The parents of kids in sports or band/ROTC were the most involved, but other parents weren't as involved. The professors teaching the higher level classes (e.g., AP) were of the highest quality. In summation, CP has a great band and ROTC program. Their drama program is also extraordinary.

Good school. Lots of extra-curricular activities, but it's way overcrowded.

Good academics and extra-curricular activities.

It's incredible! I have never seen anything like this. There are so few responsible adults at the office. You could stand there for hours until a young girl/boy might come up to try to help you. I really don't want to generalize but my experience as a parent at Coral Park High School could be rated a D. My older daughters went to private school and I thought we were wrong for doing so. After comparing H.S. years, it was worth every penny spent. Too bad, we couldn't afford it for our youngest daughter. All we can do, it's pray and advise her as much as we can.
