My children have been in Devonaire k 8 center since kindergarten and I feel our school is one of the best schools in Miami Dade.We are like a family. We all care about each other. We have the best teachers and have been an A+ school for many years, which I feel id proof of what a great school we have. They really deserve the $5000.00 dollars. Ms.Miranda

The teachers are suoer. The school employees are very personable. They get to know the parents and it feels like family. The education is very good. Except I hear the spanish teacher spends her time buying shoes online instead of teaching. The new principal is very involved and very caring.

Incredible attention to all aspects of your children's education. Administration, faculty and the entire staff is committed to the success of the children. PTA is great and very involved. It is a blessing and an honor to be in this school.

First of all I do like the school but I have a problem with security of the school and the principal. He stated in a phone message to all parents he is doing everything for the security of the school. I'd have to so negative. Anyone can walk in without being challenged. I do have to say the teachers I have seen so far are very good. They talk to the parents and keep everyone informed of what is going on. The principal is out of date on issues time to retire.

The principal hates hispanics which is funny since we are in Miami, never says hello, not educated either kind or polite. I think he needs to go home and retire

THIS IS AN AMAZING SCHOOL. THE TEACHERS TRULY CARE AND THE ENVIRONMENT IS VERY DIVERSE. It's one of the few top Miami public schools; the environment is very safe. I defiantly recommend it. The school is like a family.

The Principle comes from a middle school and caters to middle schools needs. There isn't enough support for special needs children.

Devon Aire got the best principal in Miami-Dade County. There is no one else like him. He is positive, knowledgable, and loving. He makes the kids love school, the teachers work hard for him, and he creates a very positive attitude and environment around him.

Because it's a school in my neighborhood, this way kids in this area can go to a school close at home. The many programs the school offers.

Everyday, I cant leave that school without laughing just once! :D I am am so sad That i will have to leave in eight grade, though they set me on the path to sucess! I believe no school is better than this one. And by not joining the jaguar family, you make the biggest mistake everrrrr

Devon Aire K-8 Center is an amazing school. There is a new principal on board and he is a wonderful asset to the school. He has great ideas, is a great facilitator, is knowledgeable in data and information, and has only the best intentions for the safety and education of our children.

The After School care program at Devonaire has to be the best i have ever seen. The employees at this school are very caring to all there students. My son has been in this school for the last five years and he says that he always has a good time in this program. Keep up the good work.

I have been a parent with Devonaire School since 1992. My oldest son now 20 attended Devonaire and now is college bound thanks to the early education years and care that my son obtained attending this school. The Principal/s, faculty and teachers were/are the best with only the best interest of the child in mind. My youngest who is 13 has been attending this school since Pre-K. Since the time my oldest son attended, the school has just improved more & more for the better. Now with the new middle school it gives the kids the opportunity to stay & attend the middle school w/o taking them out of a very healthy & stable environment. I consider myself quite fortunate that I live in the Devonaire community and that my children have had/have the ability to attend this school. It is definately an A++ rating school.

My childredn attended Devon-Aire and now my grandson is a student in the fifth grade ( he has attended since kindergarten. When you visit the school you get a real sense of family. They have so many wonderful functions and do so much to involve the children. Leaving my grandson in their loving hands makes me feel really comfortable. In my book they are #1.

I have a son that goes to Devon Aire as well. It is a wonderful school However, I do feel that it is a bit too wide open to the public I feel that there should be more security towards the park entrances. I also feel that they should provide ample parking for those parents whose children are too young to walk to class alone so they can walk with them to their classes. The pricipal is active with every aspect of that school.

We have two children in this school and are very pleased with the educational aspect. However, the biggest drawback to this school is how open it is to the public. It is a constant worry. Also, although the parking/traffic situation is aggravated at the present time by the construction of the middle school, we are not very hopeful it will get much better. Before the construction commenced the traffic/parking was bad........add into that equation all the students, faculty and administrators to run the new middle school and there will be no hope for relief. Hopefully we will be wrong!

I love this school especially the Principal Dr. Feldman and the teachers, my oldest is in 5th grade and youngest in Kindergarten, I have never had any issues except with my 3 grader with one specific Kindergarten teacher.

I currently have two kids attending Devon Aire 3rd and 5th grade. I am extremely pleased with the education they are receiving and the availability of extra curricular activities offered to them. However, the parking situation at the school has always been bad and now with the contruction of the middle school it is just terrible! But I guess that will pass. The only drawback of this school, in my opinion, is that it is open to the public at all times. Anyone can walk into this school during school hours. It is really not safe.

I love this school as they provide many activities and have a great library, community park, and library. There is a great sense of community at this school as even the parents go to its parks and participate in athletic events.

This school was a great disappointment to us. There were programs available to bilingual students that were unavailable to our child as a non-bilingual student. Although it was recommended at first that out child be put on medication for her behavior, she was then recommended for accelerated learning classes when we refused to medicate her. These classes were not consistently taught, however. Some school administrators appeared apathetic. The principal, however, was very active in school events and knows the children well. Maybe there are too many students, or maybe the teachers are just too tired of teaching, but our child walked away from Kindergarten hating school. We have since moved to another state, but I recommend to all parents with children at this school to stay consistently involved with your child's teacher because that enthusiastic, bright student might easily fall through the cracks there.

I went to visit the school, since my daughter will be attenting next school year. I had a excellent experience. Kids were well behave, classroom were nice, well organized. Teachers have many years of exerience and seem to be doing a great job. I got a good feelinig about the school. I was also very impress by the number of parents participating (help with security around campus, in the cafeteria, etc). Helping make the school safer and better for all the kids. This school has my vote of confidence.
