This is my son first year and it is very hard for him but even all the teachers are helping me with him and they are very kind to me at anytime that I email them or called them. They are doing everything all they can to get him on track.

This school is terrible. The office staff is rude as well as some of the administration. It is very difficult to have parental involvement in this school, probably has to do with the location. Students don't care, parents don't care and even worse the staff doesn't care. My oldest came here for one year and it was alright at the time but now it is a sad dump.

The staff and administration here is terrible. Most of the reviews written here are by students or badly written reviews probably by the staff themselves. This website is to provide honest information. My oldest daughter went to PWB for a year, back then it was alright but now the school has become a sad dump. We are trying to transfer our youngest to another school. Walk into the office and you will immediately be treated disrespectfully. Very few teachers care about your children's progress and are only there for the benefits.

I am a former student from Paul Bell and look at me , i am a sucessful sergoen and i owe it all to Paul Bell middle school. Its not nice to make bad reviews , if you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything . Because if your being mean trust me nobody would want to listen to you! I dont mean to be rude but , imagine if you were that school and you were getting bad reviews you would be devastaded.

It's the best middle school ever! The people are super friendly and the school itself is just beautiful! I love mostly of the fact that Ms.Fowler, a trust counselor there, encourage the students not to do drugs in the DFYIT and have the 8th graders with the 6th grader in Shark Buddies! It's beautiful to see my middle school so caring for the students!

This is the worse middle school in Miami, they have a lot of issues and hide it to parents, most of the teachers are careless about students success, the principal never shows up neither care about parents and students, the counselor just do papers job and print flyers to parents, my advice to you: choose a good school for your children,

I love Paul Bell Middle School because despite all the odds we are an "A" school. This is possible because we have excellent and dedicated teachers that come to school each and every day to make a difference and ensure that our students receive the best education.

Paul Bell is a very diversified school as to the students and teachers. Even though we come from different backgrounds and values, we always stand together and excel.

Paul W. Bell Middle School's teachers are the best quality there is. All my three children have studied and have been very well prepared for advanced courses at high school level and even earned high school credit during their middle school years.

Paul Bell works to educate all students to a higher level. I hope that all parents would consider our school over other alternate schools.

This school is underated. The teachers at Paul Bell are excellent. The electives teachers teach some of the best education in the county. The fine arts classes such as Band and Graphic Arts are superb. Currently there are several after school classes being offered.

Even the teachers seem to know their subject matter, some of them do not use multiple teaching strategies to reach students who come to school with varying skills and interests. They did not take the time to explore each student's way of learning (Multiple Intelligence). At the same time, they go and care only for the ones that are ahead leaving the ones that are behind. I think most of the teachers care for and support each student individually. Most of them communicate openly and clearly with parents and work well with their colleagues while some of them do not. Teachers who are devote and pasionate for their profession, they use as much strategies to help each of the students achieve in school not only the ones that are ahead.....

I changed my child from Doral Middle School to Paul Bell since Feb 2007 she is now in 7th Grade, and I am so happy. I do see that the teachers and the counselors do care about the kids progress and try to help them the best. They also encourage them to do better.

This school has progressively declined the past few years. There are few extracurricular activities and sports teams have disappeared. Schools complain of students not being fit and healthy enough, as well as uncontrollable in class, yet eliminate outlets for energy in the form of playing sports. What is happening at Paul Bell?

as a former student, I can tell you that Paul Bell has some really dedicated teachers. They have a large number of security guards, and although fights break about everyone in a while, security guards stop the fight in a minute (literally). Teachers are dedicated and show interest in their work, and Paul Bell Provides alot of extracurricular activities to get involved on. Principals are often overseeing students in the lunch room, and often seen talking to students. Dicipline is very much enforced in Paul Bell. With plenty of security guards, and strong enforcements of even the tiniest things like the dress code are in full effect. If your student wants to have a great time in PWB, then try and get him involved.

I am a former student from PWB, and from the experience that underwent there, I can say that it was quite challenging, from the teachers that is. It has a strong academic foundation and a very strong based faculty that is dedicated in providing better ways of challenging today's youth. Do keep in mind, their extracurricular's aren't all that great as well as their athletics.

I highly recommend this school. I have two children at Paul Bell. I'm very satisfied with the discipline and teaching done there. I have been very involved with my children's education and all their teachers have been supportive and concerned in helping out with whatever problem arises. My son's counselor has been the best he's ever had. I thank all the teachers for giving my children an excellent learning experience in Middle School. 'Teachers touch a child's life forever', and you all have certainly touched the ones of my children. Thank you.

Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
