Beacon High School is to help students that have fallen behind in regular school. My son is currently a student there and has been very successful thus far. It is not for idiots, as posted below by someone else.

Only at Beacon can a student enter a grade behind and end up graduating early. Place turned me around! :)

Beacon High School is a very good school. The students can go at their own pace or work ahead. They do all their work online. The parents responsibility is to check online every week to make sure their child is doing the work and submiting the required submissions. You can review report cards, teachers comments, grades etc. My son really likes going to Beacon. He stays in the same lab every day and doesn't have to change classes every period. The dress code is very fair. Students are required to wear the school shirts with jeans, dress pants or what ever the student perferres. I recommend this school to anyone that doesn't mind doing their work online.

Their is absolutly no music, art, sports, or other extra extracurriculat activities. The teacher involment is horrible. They do not contact you when your student falls behind.
