Kindergarden teacher was wonderful but the fourth grade teacher was so bad I had to pull my son out and drive him every day to another school. When a bright child gets straight A's from Kindergarten through third and suddenly turns into a C student in fourth, after 3 hours of homework every night, that tells me the teacher can't teach! Since I moved my son to a new school he's an A student again. Shocking.

The most recent entry I could find was from the end of the 2010-11 school year. I was forced to enroll my daughters into this school because my oldest has special needs and I was told that this was the only school that could accommodate her. Starting with the 80 minute bus ride both ways it has been nothing short of a disaster. When I tried to transfer her she was labeled a threat. Last year she had 3 teachers because they couldn't keep one, this year is becoming a nightmare already.

I find it interesting that several posts claiming great things are written on or close to the same date. Makes me wonder if the same person is promoting this...Parents need real genuine information to make a good decision for the kids.

The staff works exceedingly hard to help every student, and family, at the school. The parents and families continue to support their children, and our school, with more and more involvement through the PTA and volunteering! It's a great place to teach and it's getting better:)

When we first moved here I was 'warned' about this school that it was not a good school. However, my son is going into his 3rd year at this school and we love it! The staff is wonderful and he has really excelled at Moon Lake. Keep up the good work!

Both of my sons started at this school this year. One is in 1st grade and the other in 4th grade. I will be honest that I was having a hard time transfering them to another school cause the school they were in is the same school that I went to when I was their age and the boys had tons of friends and loved the school but neither of them did very well in the classroom. Since they have been at Moon Lake they have done 100% better then they have ever done and they are always willing to go to school. I can not say enough about this school and the impact it has had on my childrens education. Thank you too all the teachers and staff that affect my children everyday in school.

My children go to this school and I hate it. We are zoned for this school and there isn't anything I can do about them going there. The office staff is rude and most of them don't know what's going on or who to talk to when you have a concern. I question things that occur at the school and I think that reflects on how my children are treated. Their is no parking, some teachers don't update planners, the list goes on and on I could write a book, I'd check out other schools before putting my kids here. I can't wait to move so they don't have to attend this school anymore.

The administration at Moon Lake is of the worst I have encountered. I would strongly suggest checking a different school before sending your child here. One of the worst managed schools I have ever worked at. While the teachers have to work their tails off and uphold their part of the deal, the administration sits back and does nothing more than criticize.
