My son used to be at Long Leaf before The school board deiced in 2010 to ship out kids because of class size . I sent them school choice and a Hard ship letter. the school board denied it. EVERYTHING MY SON LEARNED AND ALL THE GAINS HE MADE BY the wonder Teachers and assistance in this school for 3 years all went down the tubes in the new school that was build to transfer them in. It ruined his learning and we are back at square one. I wish I could get him back their.

There are not enough positive comments in the world to truly capture how amazing this public school is! The teachers work tirelessly, giving their own time before and after school for enrichment. The administration and support staff are positive and involved, and the children are kind, caring, respectful, responsible and fair. We are proud to be a Longleaf family.

About the tests

Florida uses School Grades to measure the overall performance of a school each year on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math. The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
