I have three children attending Rocky and they love it. It is laying a foundation so they will be able to stand firm in their convictions when they enter college. The teachers and staff are wonderful providing a solid education and a loving environment. Combine all of that with a great sports program and you have RBCS! I am so glad we chose this school.

I agree with the other poster. This school doesn't feel like a school based on Gods teaching rsrather ran like a business. Not horrible yet if ur looking for a Christian school this isn't it.

My daughter transferred from Bluewater and has thrived at Rocky. They not only emphasize Christian principles but also have an outstanding academic program. She learned cursive writing in kindergarten - they aren't teaching that in public schools anymore. They take a lot more field trips than public school, the kids aren't given candy in class, and the teachers are very caring. Technologically, they're advancing, and using iPads and touchscreen whiteboards in class. They also don't subscribe to the Common Core teach-to-the-test nonsense that's in the public schools now. I'd love to hear solid facts behind the negative opinions of the previous reviewer, who says this is a bad school without saying why. I'd encourage parents to visit the school and research it themselves; I'd be surprised if they weren't highly impressed.

This place is a scam. Unqualified staff, poor classroom conditions, a complete waste of money. The school hides behind what it calls it's "Christian" purpose. However , the only God these people worship is money. Everything about this place is for your money. Your kids will always be secondary. The "glowing" reviews are misleading and probably written by the staff. Do not waste your money or time at this place. If you are concerned about your kids education to NOT go here. Enroll them in Niceville High.

Ou experience with Rocky has been far beyond our expectations. The school has brought out the best in our girls. It is probably the best thing we could provide our kids. The atmosphere, academics, opportunities, WOW!

My daughter attends RBCS-Destin campus. This is our first year at this school and we are pleased with the level of instruction she has received. The academics are strong and she loves her teachers. We are happy that she is eager to go to class each day and is learning so much. We recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a high-quality education.

If your only criteria for a school is that it teaches a very conservative Christian worldview you will probably be very pleased. If you are concerned about academics you might want to look elsewhere. This school is behind the times in technology and pedagogy and they choose textbooks based on Christian rather than academic content. My child is gifted and this school did not meet her needs. I had meetings with the teacher and the principal and they could not or would not consider my concerns nor would they discuss ways in which changes could be made so my child could be properly placed and academically challenged. I cannot recommend this school to anyone.

Outstanding teachers, great cirriculum and Bible based principles. What else could you ask for from a private school.

Rocky Bayou Christian School is an amazing school. The faculty and staff not only say they love the students but show evidence of this fact by the time they spend outside of class with the kids. They truly seek to build healthy relationships with the students so they can help parents guide their child towards a Godly lifestyle. Another unique part of RBCS is the number of men teachers. My son was so excited after the first day of school when he exclaimed ' Mom, I only have 1 female teacher.' These men and women have even taken a pay cut this school year and are continuing to offer the same services as in the past. Rocky Bayou Christian School is a great school for learning, building character, and a biblical worldview.

RBCS is a school dedicated to teaching all of God's children; whether that child learns by traditional methods or through specially designed therapy interventions. We are so blessed to be a part of this school!

there is no place like Rocky Bayou, godly christian teachers applying Gods word and teachings into everyday lessons that will improve our students reach for their highest goals. It's like a family atmosphere, every one knows your name, we all get along and there is great fellowship. our students graduate knowing that they will make it in college because of the preparations and lessons teachers give to them. Teachers are top notch and the administration are ones that listen first and act slowly to make things right.

Our school has an excellent academic program, a broad spectrum of sports and activities, and stresses leadership training. It prepares its students for college, careers, citizenship, and lfe. It seeks to give the students a biblical view of every subject, and of the world and life in general so that they will be motivated to glorify God and act rightly toward others.

Rocky Bayou Christian School is a place where there is an amazing balance between strong teaching and a family-like community of love and respect. Students are encouraged to grow in all facets of their lives, with a look to the their future role in life.

I love Rocky Bayou Christian School because the faculty and staff love the students and work hard on little money to give them the best education possible. The teachers teach the truth, allowing students to learn to think logically and then to express themselves well. With a new superintendent who used to be the high school principal, one motto of education for RBCS is to help each student go as far as he can academically as quickly as he can. There is also plenty of room for those who do not learn quite as quickly as peers. These students are worked with inidividually to overcome any learning disabilities necessary. Any and every student can and does succeed at Rocky Bayou Christain School.

RBCS operates on a tight budget to keep tuition affordable, yet offers a full range of extra-curriculars, and our students regularly earn tens of thousands of dollars in college scholarships.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
