Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

I have 3 children who attended St. Clare School. My youngest is in 8th grade this year. I have been extremely impressed with both the academic and spiritual education my children have experienced at this school. My older daughters both are participating in magnet programs in palm beach county and were very well prepared for their honors/ advanced classes consistently keeping their place among the top 50-75 students in their classes of over 500. I believe that the religious teaching that they received at St. Clare gave them a strong moral compass which guided them when they left the small somewhat sheltered environment of St. Clare. They have good friends and are very involved in the leadership of their business magnet. I have been very impressed with the changes that came with the new principal and many new staff members. The school is definitely competing well with other private north area schools - they are innovative and moving quickly toward implementing new technology with IPads for all students in the middle school and classroom sets for the lower grades. This is a school that treats all of its students as a part of their own family.

My husband and I couldn't be more happy with everything St. Clare School has to offer. Our son has attended St. Clare from K - 7th grade and we know that after he graduates next year, he will be prepared for high school his following year. My daughter attended St. Clare from K - 8th grades and was more than prepared to enter high school and compete academically with other students from surrounding schools. She has been top 5% of her class since her freshman year and was recently inducted to the National Honor Society, as well as, the Spanish Honor Society. St. Clare School's excellent middle school teachers arm their students with the necessary tools to make their students successful. Not only academically but socially! St. Clare teaches their students to think globally by participating in various community service projects throughout the year. The faculty and the staff at St. Clare really care about their students and their spiritual well being. They are celebrating their 50th year anniversary this year and yes, their facilities might not be state of the art but it's honestly not what's on the outside but what's on the inside. And that's heart!

Our family could not be more blessed that our three boys, & another young one in a few years, all attend this school. The faculty, as well as their fellow students & families, treat our boys like a second family, it's wonderful! Our 6th grader loves his teachers, especially English. I sometimes have an inflated view of his academic level, but they manage to work with me on not putting too much pressure on him. My middle son & kindergartener can both be a handful, but the school helps provide a level of discipline that's even better than at home, LOL! Again, we couldn't be more blessed to be a part of this understanding Catholic community, Finally, while some parents, unfortunately, are unable to work within the discipline guidelines of St. Clare, we have found the administration to be top notch. As classy a group of educators as you'd ever hope to be associated with. They even make the school events a time that parents cherish sharing with their children. You don't find that at all schools.

BELOW AVERAGE PRIVATE SCHOOL The curriculum is not challenging. Only middle of the road students will find the curriculum suitable. The Playground, what playground. The facilities for Kindergarten and PreK 4 are disorganized and old-fashioned. The play area is lacking and poorly maintained. The PreK teacher is very nice and very capable. The K teacher is very qualified but not nurturing. The Elementary and Middle School are both organized but like I mentioned above, unchallenging. The Art and Music department are lacking. The teachers are very nice but the classroom is shared, the space doesn't evoke creativity in my opinion. The Middle School has recently transitioned to iPads which is great. The Middle School has mostly nice teachers, except for the English teacher. The teacher has an unusual way of grading, & most students that I know of fear her. The male PE teacher behaves like he has no interest in the children. He spends more time on his phone than participating with the kids. Not the greatest representation of a Catholic Environment. The Principal of the school is too young in my opinion to run a school. She hasn't been around the block even though she does try.

Wait until first grade if you want to try this school. And then I would suggest leaving after third grade. Many of the great teachers and wonderful principal that previously ran this school have moved on. If you have a preschooler, they may learn, but they do not have a nice place for the younger children of the school to enjoy a playground. The toys and structures of the playground even though they may be donated by the kind parents of the school, they are not of the quality to withstand the daily wear and tear of young children. The play structures are of the qulaity that you would have in your backyard, not what you would expect in a school that pushes a Kindergarten or PreK4 program. Basically a square with a bunch of old looking toys. The PreK teacher of the school is wonderful. As for the K teacher, she has been at the school for ions, so you can't really complain about her lack of nurture. She is what you would call an old school catholic teacher, very strict, with good instruction, but not loving. If you are looking for that then you will be fine, but if you want an experience of which your kids will want to go to school, like I said, wait till 1st grade.

This will be our family's 6th year at SCS. We have never doubted our choice to send our kids to St. Clare. The teachers, faculty and staff are like family. The campus may not be flashy, but that's not what kids should care about anyway (and they don't). St. Clare has all of the bells and whistles in what counts ... EDUCATION! The St. Clare family is 50 years proud.

My son just finished 1st grade at St.Clare. after spending kindergarten in a disorganized charter school. This was a huge improvement. My other son will be joining kindergarten this fall. It was a real hassle having him in prek at a different school. I'm excited about all the upgrades and renovations that are taking place as well. This is the best choice I could've made for my family.

The last of my 4 children is now working his way through St. Clare. It's hard to describe what it is about SCS that makes it so awesome. Although the building lacks "curb appeal", you'll never hear a student complain about it. They go to school in a safe, loving environment and make life-long friends there. The state is great and takes time to help each child succeed. The parents are actively involved in the school and also make great friends with other parents. I highly recommend St. Clare for anyone looking for quality education and a great experience for their kids.

My friend came from another country and they really welcomed her daughter at this school. It was such a relief for her. Her daughter was so happy here. I recommend this school highly from what I heard. I wish my daughter could attend but it is a drive for us.

As for the older review about the Middle School Math teacher she has left the school and moved on. Saint Clare School is always working to better the school and the progress of education. You can't go wrong by placing you children at Saint Clare School where they will be in a loving and nurturing environment. Saint Clare School will challenge your Child to become successful in his or her education.

St. Clare School is a Great Catholic elementary school! My overall experience there has been fantastic. Academically my child is challenged to be her best and she is secure emotionally and socially. St. Clare is a safe place that prepares its students to enter the competitive world of high school and beyond. Last but not least, it is the most affordable private school option in the northern Palm Beaches.

My daughter started Kindergarten at St. Clare this year, and I must say I couldn't be happier with our choice of school! I was nervous at first because they have a new principal this year, but the principal has turned out to be amazing. I couldn't be happier with the teachers and staff, and the overall experience has been a great one!

St. Clare is a private school that provides a caring, nurturing, family atmosphere and a great education. The administration and staff, as well as other families, have been wonderful in welcoming us. Coming from a small preschool, this is exactly the type of school that I wanted my children to attend. Great price for a private school to boot. I am looking forward to many more years at St. Clare.

I have had 3 children go all through St. Clare. My first two went into magnet programs into the public school system and into honors classes. My youngest is still there and excelling. They both said they were very prepared for the honors programs. They both said they felt ahead of their classmates in their classes. I was very pleased with their middle school learning and test scores. I highly recommend this school for any family looking for a loving positive environment for your children to learn.

Our family was welcomed with open arms as we entered St. Clare this year. The administration and staff have been very supportive and their work to ensure that each child masters the Common Core State Standards is evident. I would strongly recommend this school as a positive, parochial school environment.

St. Clare is a rare find. If you want a school that provides academic excellence combined with a family like environment, this is the place for your child. You will never seen a place with more confident and kind children. It's is an academic institution that provides ALL of the tools your child will need to meet the high standards that they promote! A+ in our book. We have been there a total of seven years and have two children which attend. I am also a teacher, but not at this school.

The lack of reviews for this school means only that things are fine. St. Clare is an excellent school with a top notch curriculum and education for our students. We as parents are deeply involved which keeps our family atmosphere ever present at St. Clare. Our teachers are excellent! We have been a leader in taking on new Common Core Curriculum Standards and will continue to be at the forefront of excellent education for years to come! I have a middle school aged child and couldn't be happier with the new curriculum changes and added leadership at St. Clare Catholic School. If you want a quality parochial education for your child this is definitely the place.

Over the last several years, I have had children, neices and nephews enrolled at St. Clare Catholic School. The main school building certainly could stand replacement, but a building is not the essence of a school. What matters is the heart of the school- - -the teachers, students, administrators, priests. Although there will always be areas of disagreement, the 'heart' of the school is very strong. With an exception or two, the teachers are dedicated, the curriculum is current and, most importantly, caring, morality and ethics are both taught and demonstrated. My children chafed at the idea of uniforms, discipline, etc., but they all agree that their years at St. Clare gave them a strong foundation in academics and spirituality. Paying the tuition was oftentimes a struggle, butI feel worth every penny.

I am disappointed in the curriculum level of the school. With 25+ kids in each class, I don't feel a child can receive individualized curriculum structure to meet his abilities without being a distraction to the class. Very structured and disciplined environment - most families are very involved in the school - princepal is there always, very dedicated. Not the school for a gifted child needing specialized or creative environment.

I am disappointed in the curriculum level of the school. My 1st grade child transferred from another private school and is often bored in class. With 27+ kids in some classes, I feel receiving individualized development tools and advanced level work without being a distraction or 'different' is doubtful. Personally I feel it s more important for my child to receive personalized attention than to attend a school for social status. I d rather go to a public A rated school with smaller class sizes and spend the money now allotted to tuition on other activities. This school will still have a waiting list without us.

St.Clare is the worst school that you can possibly send your children to. The sports is so limited you almost have to be in the upper grades to participte in anything. No one speaks out, it's a dilapitdated antiquaited establishment. Low on the totem pole of private education.Big Dissapointment.
