Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

My son transferred from a top school to Timber Trace. Timber Trace has been an awful experience for him. Totally agree with poster that if you do not conform to their "box" you get ousted. They do not care about your child's individual needs. Planning to transfer as soon as possible.

My son has ADD and has been going to TTES for 2 and a half years now and our experience there hasn't been at all good. First he got a teacher that wouldn't help him at all with the transition from one school to another, her words exactly were "I won't baby him, he has to learn to get used to it". Then next year he got a teacher that were constantly yelling to the kids and use bad words around them, I actually heard her at the Thanksgiving dinner, and on one occasion, she grabbed my son's face and pushed it away. Went many times to the asst. Principal and principal too but they didn't do anything until last month of school when they put my son with another class. Then last year he got one teacher that treated him so bad he had to go to therapy and got diagnosed with depression. Again went many times to the principal and she did absolutely nothing and blamed everything on my son. His homeroom teacher was great though. One day he got yelled at by the asst principal in the cafeteria in front of everybody because he was pushed and bumped into another kid, next day she had to apologize to my son because it was an accident. Overall this school sucks and surely doesn't deserve an A.

First off I wish I could have not even rated this school with 1 star. We parents of 3 gifted kids who attended Timber Trace. The school lacks leadership and teachers who are properly educated to teach truly gifted students. If you don't fit into their "box" of thinking you are ousted. The kids whom I've interacted with are pompous and narcissistic, just like their parents. This school is loaded with bullies We have since pulled our kids out of Timber Trace and moved to Wellington. I've never seen our kids more happy and looking forward to going to school at Binks Forest. If you are parent please look at Timber Traces FCAT 2014 results, you will clearly see that 70% is not a "A" rating.

I was new to the Palm Beach area (coming from Denver) and needed a very good school for my 1st grader. After much research and comparisons of other school my husband and I choose Timber Trace. We received a lot of guidance from everyone in the school months before actually making the move. At TTE a parent can get involve as much as they want to be in the school. All parents are encouraged to participate in their child's education. The school is very proud of their many accomplishments and constantly strive to do better with the students.

Top notch learning center! Kids have fun, learn, and they love the teachers. Great neighborhood feeling. Lots if clubs and activities. Reading and math scores very high, Parents volunteer in classrooms.i SAC is very imp, but somewhat dominated by principal. That would be only area of improvement.

my grandson attends this school. He is now in the fourth grade. Every year he learns more and more. The teachers really give him a great incentive to learn. I'm so happy that he attends this wonderful school and know the staff encourages him to do his very best! Sincerely, Sheila and David Smith (Grandparents)

Timber Trace is a fantastic learning environment! I did not want to send my daughter to public school, but I am glad I did. They have excellent parent participation and involvement. Parents are everywhere and helping. My daughter gained six reading levels in first grade. They have two wonderful parking officers and school police and the school is very well- kept. I am at the school during working hours, so this is my third year seeing how it runs. I never heard a parent not happy. The speech and language and gifted program are also superb! My daughter talks about speech like it is a priveledge to attend. Due to so many local neighborhoods- tons if kids and parents walk or rude their kids to bike by school. Garden Lakes and Shady Lakes have a nature path to school! Best times with all the kids.

My daughter started Kindergarten at Timber Trace and she has excelled wonderfully. Her teacher is excellent and school personnel have always been very pleasant. The math and science nights that they do in the fall and winter are nice and well organized, but more space is needed for the amount of parents and students that attend. Otherwise, great job, teachers and staff at TT! We are very pleased.

2010-2011 was my sons first year at TT. Wasn't real impressed. Principal was ok but Asst. Principal did not seem to care much. Don't like the fact on picture day the kids had to wear uniforms. Also not much creativity goes into 5th grade end of year activities. Office staff is helpful but administration is so-so. ESE dept though is great and right on target. Teacher communication is not that great. Hard to get to speak to teachers, and they do not always call back. Not able to speak with them in a timely manner. All I can say is this school is in my area so I must make the best of it.

I have been a student there for the past 6 years since kindergarten and i'm in 5th grade now. It is a great school! All the teachers are so nice especially the art teacher. The teachers make sure you understand everything and help you through a subject you might not be that good at. I'm gonna really miss it after this year as i head to middle school but i'll always have the memories. :)

My daughter went to Timber Trace for 3 yrs - K through 2nd - we moved to what should be the heart of education in Florida - Gainseville FL Home of our precious Gators. I have to tell you that being in one of the hubs of education that my daughter was a full year ahead of all her peers when she started classes at her new shcool which by all comparisons was just like TT on paper - well it wasn't - for a full yr my daughter was learning everything she had already learned at TT and it was not till she was in 4th that she started learning new things. Be greatful that this school strives on a higher education - they mean it and produce it!!!!!

I think Timber Trace is a wonderful school. My oldest child attended years ago and is now about to go off to college. He remembers many teachers with fondness and will credit this school with helping him achieve what he has today. My youngest child is now in 4th grade and loves the school too. If you get involved and go to the PTA meetings and share your criticisms with the staff, your needs will most likely be met. The art teacher there is amazing! My kids couldn't wait until Art time rolled around!

Overall is not a bad school. There are a few wonderful teachers here. Some of the faculty specially at parent pick they are tired and rude. Lately there is a lot of yelling. Like parents need that from another adult, when they are piccking up their children. Their is not respect specially isf you are black or hispanic. They will treat you different. It is so sad that this is still going on this days 21st century.Safety of the kids after school while getting in their cars is not important anymore. They dont care if they are safe with seatbelts on before they are yelling at you telling u to go. They are trying to get over 800 students out in 15 minutes. That is not safe.Is going to take someone getting hurt pretty bad before anyone does something about this.

This is our first year at TT our son came from a local Catholic School. Thank Goodness we found out that Private is all about the money. TT Teachers are so far second to none.My son is happy, and his work is hard and it's challenging. Not the sameold baby work he was used to at the North Palm Beach Catholic School. Even the front office is wonderful. We have come across so many families that have left private for TT and we can see why. It's only uphill , the Asst. Principal is awesome. Always available at anytime to address your concerns.Fabulous Parents, not stuck up at all! Real Deal....

My daughter will start her 2nd yr at Timber Trace and I am very please. She went from a C average in Broward County to at the end of the year with only 1 month in this school having a B average. The staff and teachers really care about the children and there education and saftey and make it enjoyable for the students as well.

Two of my three children have attended Timber Trace Elementary. The third is entering Kindergarten this year. I have always been very satisfied with parent/teacher communication, fair grading, high expectations of students, opportunities, and the overall professionalism of teachers and administration.

Our child has been attending Timber Trace for the past 3 years. Teacher quality is high and it is obvious they are there for the students. Strong and involved PTA and Advisory Board. Our child looks forward to going to school every day. New Hands on Science Lab added this year, is a positive for all the K-5 students. As well as the new computer lab with a certified instructor. Our child's teachers are always willing to take time to meet with us if there is a concern. The use of Edline is a great tool to keep us up to date and involved in class activities.

The school is absolutely amazing. I was in the graduating class of 2003. I am now moving on to Suncoast (7th in the nation) for IB. Without Timber Trace i would not be where i am today. The teachers are wonderful and the curriculum put the students well above state standards.

I think that the academics in this schools are one of the top tens in the county & am very happy with the staff & teachers of the school. My daughter has vome a long way & I hope that my little child will recieve the same. The availability of music, srt, and other activites are great. The only thing that I wish that they did have is soccer for a sport. I think that soccer is a very good game for stress, & any knid of anger. The level of the parents that are involved in their children at this school is enormous! but I wish that they had a bit more sports activities.

Timber Trace Elementary teaches to the FCAT testing. They are not interested in your child as a person to help them grow or nurture. Most of the parents do their own child's homework and no one says a thing about creativity. pe/ music/gym/art are on rotations schedules and not given every week. Focus is on gaining money for test scores.

Great School! My children loved this school. Like any school, there are some burnt-out teachers, but all in all the teachers are happy to be at Timber Trace. Save your private school savings and use it after they graduate from Timber Trace.

This school is a great school both through involvement and academically. The quality of academics here is grade A and the faculty are more than willing to work with parents. Students are offered all aspects of music, art, sports (for elementary), and other programs. The aftercare program is excellent, affording students to take advantage of different 'clubs' in areas of interest (tennis, art, karate, etc.) Parent involvement is top notch. The Boy Scouts of America also have a troop that meets this school and is involved in several areas.

When I move to the palm beach gardens I did it thinking of my children.Schools in south florida are just not good at all.The teacher dont care and they only treat your children in a good way and care about them if you volunteer. Otherwise they are just dont care or they wont be nice to them.I think this is so wrong, teachers should be teachers because they love children ,because they want to help them be the best that they can be.Not just dumpt homework and parents can teach them.My child that is in kindegarden comes home sad.

Although the school is A rated and 5 star rated, I am not that impressed with the school as a whole. I would say that there is nothing so bad that I would pull my child out, but I am not very impressed with quite a few of the teachers and the PTA involvement. The school is old and needs alot of work. Some of this will be done this summer so we will see. I am just disappointed if this is one of the best schools that Palm Beach County has to offer.

My experience with T. Trace began with 3rd grade in the gifted program. I was happy with most teachers that taught gifted especially Mr. Makoul, 5th grade teacher. He's great, very interested in his students. Unfortunately music and art programs are lacking in substance due to county funding. There are no real athletic programs here either, again due to funding. Lots of parent involvement. In my opinion, it is basically a good, safe, and nurturing school.

This school is far superior to local private schools. Ultra high-end neighborhoods feed into Timber Trace and the teachers want to work here. Exceptional writing skills, accelerated reading and extra math supplements are standard. We have far more resources than can be listed briefly. This is the most dedicated group of parents around!

The teachers are wonderful here. More parents need to volunteer in the other classes. The gifted program is exceptional and we are overflowing with volunteers. I wish they offered instruments in 5th grade and not just choral but the music teacher is doing great with over 950 kids...she needs a helper!Food is awesome, love the uniforms! Highly recommended.
