My son has been in the Autism Cluster for several years. After a rough start, I find the quality of support he receives to be far superior than my typically developing son receives at a neighboring, more highly rated school. The staff are caring and compassionate and do the best the can given their poor financial resources. And yes, the student-teacher ratios are poor, but that seems to be the case in every FL school. Despite the school rough exterior, I find the quality of services on the inside (including after-care) to be far superior to the neighboring "10" school.

My son just moved on to Middle School after 6 years at Pasadena. I feel he is well prepared, due to the education he received at PLE. No school is perfect for every child, but I felt most of the teachers, staff and administration were fair, taught the children well, and treated the parents with respect.

My daughter just completed her 1st grade year a Pasadena, unfortunately we are relocating so she will not be attending next year. Ms. Cruz (1st grade) is one of the best educators this world has to offer! I cannot say enough good things about her. My daughter is gifted but I was quite prepared for the 'gifted' program so Ms. Cruz took the time to challenge her and provide her with assignments to keep her busy and focused. Because of her, my daughter placed in the 97 percentile on the SAT. Ms. Cruz believes in requiring more than just learning enough to get by...she believes in your children...I love her and will never forget her!

I read that it was 13 student per teacher, well that is not true, my daughter has never been in a class smaller than 20 children per one teacher, with no teacher helper, or aid in the room. This year in 2nd grade there are 21 in her class. I am not happy with the school, or thier facilities. They don't have appropriate pick up and drop off areas, the school looks ghetto, and the parents are not involved except for a handful who work very hard to compensate for the rest who drop thier kids off and speed away. Not happy with much here.

Pasadena to us have been wonderful. Great school with teachers that care and a staff thats willing to assist whenever they can. This is our last year at pasadena and are looking forward to beginning middle school but will miss pasadena greatly. My daughter wants a career as a teacher and looks forward to maybe one day teaching here. Great school enviorment.

My child is an ese student and the faculty is wonderful. You couldn't ask for a better school. He can't wait to go back in the fall. The whole enviroment is a+. They are taught about honesty and helping one another and to treat everyone with respect. The musical programs they put on are on top of this world. The teachers get in on the act and the kids have so much fun. Coach gonzales makes p.e. so much fun and you couldn't get a better aftercare staff. The parents are very involved in pta, voulenteering, and doing what ever is asked. There is a reason this school is an a school it is the whole make up from caring teachers to an exceptional principal and faculty that challenge and have fun that the students excel so.

Pasadena Lakes is the best place to send your child for a wonderful education and experience. The staff is warm, friendly and both of my children attended the school and loved it and their teachers as well. Keep up the good work!

They don't care about the child, only wether or not they are going to be an 'A' school. God forbid if your child is problematic or gifted than they really give you a hard time. I removed my daughter from this school to a school that cares.

My daughter has attended PLE for 5 years, 2003/2004 will be her final year here and we could not be more pleased with the teachers, the curriculum or the school environment. I have been closely involved with the school, classes, teachers and field trips and am constantly amazed with the organization, attention to detail, and multi-cultural exposure in the classroom and out. Thank you for including our whole family in this learning adventure. Mrs. Hamilton

We've had our child in PLE for 3 years now and I am very pleased withits faculty. They can't be nicer and more efficient. When your child goes to schools with a smile you know something is right! I just wish they taught all the way thru high schoo. Thank you PLE
