While there is finally a principal that cares and has the respect of teachers, this school still lacks the basic standards. There is zero communication with parents. The school has no 'security' what-so-ever, allowing anyone who walks in to freely roam the halls and go where ever they want. Drop off and pick-up, especially, are the most chaotic of any school I've ever seen. Cars going every which way, kids all over the place. Teachers do NOT take part in drop off and pick up, as does every other school faculty. Administration does not seem to care about these kind of things, as long as the kids get fed their free breakfast and lunch. And free tutoring is NOT offered, as indicated by another person, unless you meet the guidelines ($$$).

This school has made a complete turn around! They now have a principal that generally cares about EVERYTHING, and that makes a difference in the lives of the children that go there. Free tutoring is offered to children in need. Ms. Rush is standing at the door every morning with a bright smiling face greeting and hugging every child that walks in the door. My sons' self esteem has turned around completely and he now enjoys going to school! Thank you Ms. Rush and all your staff and teachers. The comment posted May 4, 2005 is before all the changes were made and before they had a principal who cared!

You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. This sentance sums up this school. No parental participation, no classroom controll, terrible location, to many undisaplined children taking up the teachers time so the good kids get no attention. The worst school my child ever attended thank goodness it was for a total of 7 weeks.
