Tropical Elementary is part of a community whose parents and staff are concerned, involved and who continually volunteer and support the school! The dedication of teachers, administration and the PTA has deep roots in the community. Tropical Elementary benefits in countless ways from the volunteerism spirit, knowledge and experience of the administration. The school is run efficiently in a large part due to Principle Anderson s leadership. As I parent, I so appreciate the effort in every decision that is based on Tropical Elementary mission to provide all its children with a successful educational experience. On any given day, parent volunteers and staff can be found throughout the school giving assistance to our students and teachers in the classrooms. In addition, their efforts, hours of service, and support have provided educational student events, fun-filled family activities, and the purchase of much needed equipment and resources for our students. In these challenging financial times, there are not enough words to express my sincere appreciation to each and every volunteer and community resident who support our district and work tirelessly for our children. I thank all of Tropical Elementary staff, volunteers and especially the teachers and Principal Anderson, for making a difference everyday in the lives of all of our children and by doing so, invest in the success of our school district as well as the future of our community!

Tropical Elementary School is like a large family. Everyone cares and takes care of each other. It is located in a neighborhood where many of the parents of current students grew up....including the Principal, Mr. Erik Anderson. Mr. Anderson grew up down the street and had the pleasure of hiring his former teacher to become his Assistant Principal many years later. Most families who grew up in Plantation choose to send their children there for the quality of education, the hometown atmosphere and the location. The PTA is strong and so is teacher involvement. Everyone from teachers to cafeteria workers to the front office secretaries is always willing to go the extra mile to help out a child and make them achieve their personal best!

Tropical has a great Principal that cares about his staff and students. The PTA is unbelievable and really cares for the school. The volunterring from the parents is priceless. We are an A rated school for the fact that the parents and staff work together to give our children the best enviroment for learning and stability in their surroundings.
