Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Treasure Coast High School is a 5 out of 5 in disorganization, lack of respect and accountability, and lack of leadership. It is a failure to the school district. Two of my daughters recently joined Treasure Coast High School, and their experience has been problematic, or in better words, traumatic. Both of them are Honors students. The administration in the office defends their lack of responsibility by using excuses and blaming others. They are not respectful towards parents OR students, and have lack communication. They do not welcome parents whatsoever, and the counselors are difficult to get in contact with. While the teachers are great, the students are disrespectful, loud, obnoxious, and out of control. There have been numerous fights this year, and it is only October. The ones who are in charge of keeping the students in line only drive around in a golf cart, blowing their whistles at the kids like they are dogs, and intimidating them. And to add on to this joke, the sports facilities are unavailable (there is no football field for games), and the administration does not support extracurricular activities. This is not a school that I would recommend to any parent.

My son just graduated from TCHS and his entire academic team was awesome. The IEP worked very hard with him and we are very appreciative.

Treasure Coast High School offers great programs for students. Our son attends this school and has had mostly positive experiences. His teachers are wonderful and his guidance counselor is very attentive when needed.

I recently graduated from Treasure Coast High School as part of the class of 2013. Let us begin with the very lack of professionalism coming from the staff, they show little respect to students or parents alike, claim credit for others (teachers/students) work, and whenever a problem arises blame it on a teacher or student. Guidance Counselors are never reachable and dont do their job. During my senior year they notified roughly 60 students they did not have a specfic credit they needed to graduate 3 weeks before graduation. Mind you this being after they supposedly did credit checks at the first week of senior year. Finding a good teacher is a rarity in this school, In total i believe i had five my whole way through highschool. They fail to use the skyward system to keep up with students grades, and generally just have a lack of care for their job. This school simply represents the laziness in our education system nowadays. How can we expect students to care when the majority of staff and teachers do not. To anyone reading this review, I strongly recommend you send your child else where. This is coming from a student who played sports, was in all honor classes, and has their AA.

I have two children attending this school and this past school year was the worst ever! In both of my kids classes there were teachers who were absent for most of the year due to their parents illness for one and the other one, I have no idea. Then you have some teachers who do not use Skyward! They do not have any accountability and use another site or none at all. When I called to complain about it, all of a sudden they would populate my child's grade and then when new semester would begin this same teacher would not use Skyward or would tell me that she had not given many grades that 9 wks. I agree with previous post that the school has gone down since Ms. Roberts left 2 yrs ago. Oh and try getting ahold of a counselor. Good luck! I hope this year will be much better. I do want to say that there are some teachers that are awesome but unfortunately they are not the norm. I do have to give kudos for Ms. P_ _ _ _ who is a guidance counselor and is exceptional!! She gets 5 stars from me!! She is quick and resolves issues quickly! Love her! BTW, my kids are both in Honor classes.

This is my third review I have inputted regarding my opinion on TCHS. I am assuming someone does not want other parents to be aware of what has happened to me. My child loves the school but as a parent I couldn't be more disappointed. My child was taught by 3 substitutes for the year. How can a child learn off ditties, how can a child develop good study habits or note taking skills when an actual certified teacher is not present. Very afraid my child will not be prepared for college.

Some of the teachers are awesome. Some belittle the students and talk down to them. Could you refresher course on how to deal with students. These aren't the everyday kids that give trouble either. Step up and be that teacher, give credit to the ones that due make the difference. School however very disorganized since Ms. Roberts left.

Very disorganized , unprofessional, rude people at this place.Very sad to think we citizens pay to hire unqualified people to intimidate parents and their children. No accountability from anyone there.

This school has an amazing AICE program with teachers that are second to none. Majority of the AICE teachers are sure the students get a quality education that is rigorous and challenging. My only qualm is with much of the administration and the librarians. In my opinion TCH needs to be more school spirited. When walking on campus a student can feel as if they're on a community college campus instead of a high school one. A few of the administration are a bit rude to students (myself included). The librarians are the same way; neither of them help students find what they are looking for and they kick people out for having an empty water bottle on the table. Currently, I am a junior in the AICE program at TCH and had the administration been better, this school would unequivocally be rated five stars.

Overall happy with the school. Wished that my daughter' s teacher would have recommended moving her up in her math since she already knew all of it. Had mentioned this at the beginnning of the school year but didn't get anywhere. More fun activities for the students since they work hard. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers who are under paid for what they go through. 'Thank you' for teaching you all make a difference in our childrens lives.

I have been attending Treasure Coast for 3 years. I have watched so many improvement in teachers, teaching, and in the atmosphere, this year being the first class of true Titans the spirit is at all time high. There will always be room for improvement. Some teachers care and others just dont give diddly squat whether you come or not, while others are there for you on and off the feild persay. Sometimes we know the Dress Code Nazis can be a little to much, but when you got a problem they are there. The teachers could be better instead of 'your in honors you should know this' sometimes we just need a little refresher. Some need to turn on their lights for a day and wake some kids up, while others need to teach. But this school is a great school with a lot of potential.

I adore this school! On my first day, I was completly terrified... The school was so big compaired to my last one. When I walked into the Cafeteria, Mama H said 'We are a family!' At first I didnt believe her, but as time passed, what she said became a reality. I am a Freashman otherwise known as 'Freashmeat' and I'm extreamly pleased to tell my Centennial friends that I am a proud Titan!

i am a student at tchs and i really like the school but i dislike most of the teachers.for example.the pod i am in is horrible.the teachers keep giving chances to the students who dont care about there education and we barelt learn anything. just send them outr or rite them up.it not fair tht the kids who do want to learn have to suffer.but everything else at the school is great.

I have found that some, not all, of the teachers and some of the faculty are not very helpful when dealing with students. They expect the students to follow rules but do not follow their own rules. Many of the teachers are not motivated to teach and would rather criticize the student and make them feel poorly about themselves rather than reach out a helping hand. Motiviation is the key to success and I the teachers should focus on that thought.

TCHS is great. I especially like the AICE program. The administrators are always ready to help you in whatever issues you are facing. But one of its downs includes the infamous Culminating Project. (Everyone hates The Culminating Project). While i like TCHS, i think the school could do more to assist seniors and even juniors in preparing for college.

Look. We all know that Treasure Coast HS is not the best school around, and it has its vices. But let's face it. YOU'RE IN PORT ST. LUCIE. Quite frankly, out of all of the schools here, TCHS is the best choice. I will be a senior @ TCHS this year and it's not all the bad. But today's typical teenager wants to gripe and complain about everything, so of course they are going to have apparent issues with dress code among other things. I do, however, agree that the staff and teachers could put forth a LOT more effort with thier students. Especially the upperclassmen. They help you as scarcely as possible. Basically throwing you out to the gators, so to speak. The school has great curriculum though, and room for improvement. I like it here. But, i wouldn't make it my first choice!

I Love this School! Yes the dress code is awful, but the teachers I had my ninth grade year were amazing! The school needs to put more effort on students doing good on the FCAT, that putting the efort on dress code. This is By far the BEST 'SCHOOL' i've ever been to. oh and the Band Department is AMAZING!

Well, I am a student at TCHS and I say this school is the greatest school I have ever been to! It has its ups and downs but I can tell you that the administration is not mean because I know some of them personally. They are mean when they have a serious situation to deal with. I got a 4.0 in the first nine weeks of school...which has never happened to me before...the schoo has helped me in so many ways. Yes they care about dress code maybe too much...but they only do it because they want us to look like proper young ladies and gentlemen...and most of us dont go to school looking sloppy...we take ourschool very seriously and we really love it...so if your child had some type of bad experience...then your child probobly brought it on themselves...because teachers dont have time to deal with foolishness.

My son has now been in TCHS for two years. He will be a junior this fall and I have a daughter coming as a freshman this fall as well. I have seen many improvements in this school. In addition to academics, the other activities are great as well. The bottom line is the school will only be as good as you as a parent and child are involved. There are plenty of opportunities that are available to our children in this school. Mrs. White, the freshman counselor is a very caring person and personally met with me to discuss a need for next fall. She truly cares about her students. As a parent and a volunteer for TCHS, I urge all parents to get involved...the Student Advisory Council (SAC) committee is one way that you will know what is going on at all times in our school.

I attend Treasure Coast as a Sophmore and I don't say this to be degrading but I think the school is awful. Many times have teachers been rude, as well as adminastrators. The school is more concerened with sticking kids in ISS(in-school suspension) then letting them walk around with clothing that specific adminastrator doesn't approve of. St. Lucie has one of the worst school districts, and I say that honestly I'm now in 10th grade learning what I learned in 6th grade in Palm Beach County. Not only does Treasure Coast need to improve as a school but Saint Lucie County as a district needs to aswell.

This school needs to be less concerned with the dress code and more concerned with their students. Funding needs to be better distributed intead of the majority going towards sports. Senior need to be treated like senior. They are the first graduating class of this school. Senior functions should be for senior only. Isn't that the way our generation (60's, 70's, etc.) was treated?

While The Staff cares very deeply about 'their' students. They don't show that much appreciation for the older classman. It's there first year handling Seniors so I guess I can't expect much but any given day of the week I see the principal and many other staff members hanging near the Freshman building and hanging out with the freshman. Although the Seniors do have a few exceptional teachers supporting them like there class sponsors. The teaching at this school is above Centrals but it has a long way to go before it can get into a A grade.

My son is a freshman and he is doing exceptionally well. He is in The AICE program (similar to the IB) and has a 4.0. We were not disturbed with the fact that the school was a 'D' it was their 1st year, with transfers in from all different schools. The staff is wonderful and we have gotten return phone calls back within 24 hrs. I think this school will surpass LPA by the time my son graduates.

I think the school is beautiful! Unfortunately I don't get to spend as much time there as I would like. My son is a senior this year and kids really don't tell you a lot of what's going on unless it involves needing money. I'd like to get on a one on one status with his teachers so I can know what events are going on.
