This school runs by the principal's whimsy, not sound educational practice. It is not a healthy environment for learning. Her theory is that everyting and everyone in the world is clueless except her and her school.
my child has gone there for several years now started out wonderfully now not so sure that grade level work is being achived not sure of selection of new teachers he has made good friends and does not wish to leave even with not being happy with teacher. Most of the staff is wonderful.Just not sure about grade level work being achived.
Ms. Thornby and all her staff are there for one reason. Educate children. My child went into the school behind, reading at a 2nd grade level and through their hard work my child is reading at a 4th grade level in less than 6 months!
Ms. Debra Thornby is the best at what she does! She truly has a heart for children! Love her!
