Bentley Elementary School

I moved to Seminole County about 6 months ago from a fairly large town west of Toronto, Canada and my primary concern was how my son would adapt to a new school, country and education system. The staff at Bentley was very helpful in answering all my concerns and the teachers took the time to make sure he was involved with the class from the very first day. Initially the first 2 weeks were stressful for him learning the system, meeting people & adjusting but after that he has been so happy and always eager to get to school in the morning. I consider myself fortunate to have gotten my child into this school and would like to say thanks to the staff at Bentley

I have to say, Bentley Is one of the best schools I know.. I Mean, They Have Great And Nice Teachers There, Special Before/After School Clubs Or Programs, Fun Activities That Are Also Informational, And so much more! I Highly Recommend This Elementary School Over Any Others!

My daughter has been attending since Kindergarten- she will be going into 5th grade soon. I have had nothing but wonderful things to say about Bentley. THe staff (most of them) are passionate, caring, friendly, and knowledgable. They have discipline under control and the academics are some of the best in the county. Art club, music club, runners club are a few of the extracircular activities offered. My youngest will be starting Bentley next year and I wouldnt send her anywhere else. After having my child in a series of poorly ran charter schools and private schools, I am SO pleased to have found Bentley Elementary! I am extremely pleased with my daughter's teachers and the entire ESE department! From day one they were on board with implementing her IEP and identifying her special educational needs so that she may be successful. An added bonus was that her teacher had a higher level degree and the experience needed to work with my child's learning style. The communication is great and my daughter enjoys school 100x's more than she did in her old school. Going to this school was like a breath of fresh air after being in the dark for so long. I couldn't be anymore happier with the services and staff at Bentley Elementary.

My son has been fully prepared for his next school experience in middle school thanks to the wonderful instruction, school leadership, support of teachers and parents at Bentley. My son is in the gifted program, but there is so much for students on every level: programs for special needs, the only Elementary School Orchestra in Seminole County, an annual Reading Celebration, awards ceremonies (academic, art, music, physical education, etc.) after every grading period, and the top-rated, elementary school PTA. Thank you Mr. Nathan and Bentley for a great school experience!

I have been very pleased with all aspects of Bentley. The teachers are excellent. The principal is a fabulous leader and role model. The PTA is currently the top in the county. They offer many extra curricular activites starting as young as K. I am proud to be a Bentley parent!

There are things that i like about Bentley, & things I really despise!!! Please tell me why we are 1 of the only Elementary schhols in Seminole Co that has to give 24 hrs notice to have lunch with your child?!?!?! Every friend of mine with children can walk into the school any time they like to have lunch with their child! They also bring the sibling!!! Not at Bentley. With my husbands schedule it is very difficult to plan sometimes!! What gives Bentley??? I really suggest you re-think this Mr. Nathan. Also, why is when you have to do something at the school they treat you like the plague if you bring a sibling???? What shall we do leave them in the car?? I'm not happy with Bentley these past 2 yrs at all!!!!!

I feel my child is not getting the attention she needs to grow in her own way. My child was in VPK . She has learned how to read already. She has been past the basics since pre-school. However she is in a class with kids who don't even know how to recognize their name. I am scared she will fall backward or become bored in her education.

I am a proud parent and teacher at Bentley Elementary! I wasn't planning on picking Bentley as my first choice until I went on a school tour with Mr. Nathan. He was a great motivator and leader of a school and I left there very excited and definite I was going to have my first child of three attend Bentley. My son had Mrs. Brown and I was swept away with her enthusiasm and positive learning environment for my son. The next year I landed myself a teaching position at Bentley and taught several different grades and really got to see the overall greatness at Bentley from primary to intermediate. The following year I continued my teaching career and had my second son enter into Bentley. My sons love attending Bentley and I love teaching there also. If you are looking for a great place check Bentley out! You'll love it!

This school is excellent and well worth checking into for your child's education. My daughter has attend this school since kindergarten and is excelling in all areas of learning. The teachers are very motivated and encourging. The principal loves parent involvment and the PTA has many wonderful programs for the staff and children. Private school is not worth the money when you have a top rate school like this to choose from!

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. I looked for 8 months to purchase our first home just so my four year old at the time could go here. She is now in second grade and I cannot tell you enough how great the teachers are, the administrative staff, and the STUDENTS. Everyone really cares about the kids and their success. Its a great place to learn and volunteer. I am a proud parent of an Outstanding Bentley Student.

We just moved here from Stuart, FL and was worried how my 4th grader would handle the change. Bigger school, more kids, etc. Wow, could not be happier. Never seen a place with this much support. The teachers are very helpful and the principal is wonderful. We did a great move!

Bentley is a great school! Mrs. Argueta is the best 1st grade teacher. Everyone at that school is wonderful with the children.

All my children have excelled with the excellent teachers they have been fortunate enough to have! The Principal has done a wonderful job selecting and maintaining top-notch teachers. Parent involvement is encouraged and is whatever you make of it. Would love to see more clubs/activities for students in grades K-2.

I disagree with the parent comment regarding Bentley not wanting parent involvement when their child has an IEP and in ESE classes. My child has been at Bentley since the school opened in 2001 and he has had an IEP and attended ESE classes. My husband and I have been very involved in our child's education. The teachers are great and very caring. Bentley is a fantastic school!

Bentley is an amazing school. This is our first year and everyone has been supportive, friendly, and my child has made leaps and bounds in her education! Mr. Nathan and Dr. Sperrazza are wonderful leaders! The teachers and staff...just awesome!

This is my son's last year at Bentley. He has 6 years of wonderful memories at this excellent school. Mr. Wood is a great teacher and he will be sorely missed! You cant ask for a better principal than Mr. Nathan!
