Last year I would have given 5 stars however, it has been quite disappointing this year. Office staff does not seem as friendly. The nice ones they had are no longer there. There was a change in principal so there is a possibility this could have an impact. As far as teachers, it depends on what teacher your child gets but for the most part they are great. If you have concerns that require attention beyond a teacher, they are not properly addressed. It starts at the top with the principal, she is not very approachable, visible or professional. Also, there does not seem to be equal treatment given to students, favoritism is noticeable with students whose parents have the flexibility to be at school more. In addition, the staff claims to be concerned with security and will not allow parents to go passed the gates yet, after school there is no control on who picks up your child unless you're lucky enough to have a teacher that stays with the children. While I appreciate the focus on keeping the parking lot organized, that seems to be more of a priority than the safety of children as they have more staff directing traffic than they do watching the kids.

I've been in this school for 5 years. kindergarten to 4th grade. I love it here.I never want to leave to go to middle school. I've always been in gifted classes and the teachers really care. The teachers teach you well. I'm a lucky person to be going to this school. I got the highest scores for math and reading on FCAT and on the writing test. The children here are nice. Its a safe school. We practice doing fire drills and tornado drills too. Every time we accomplish something (like S.A.T. or FCAT) we relax and have a dance party to reward us. This school is awesome and I would recomend this school to anyone. :)

The administrative staff seems to care and have a nice pleasant demeanor. The only down fall I have found is that they don t seem to get the absenteeism correct. Twice marked our girls as unexcused when they were excused and we used the automated system and followed up with a telephone call to correct it. The drop off area leaves much to be desired. It is congested and not well organized. The stop cars that have already dropped off to let pedestrians cross, instead of clearing the lane and letting pedestrians cross while others drop off. It is all about good timing. No one monitors the parking lot. Parent s park behind other cars, let their children jump out. The crossing guards act as if they are sergeants in the military. While I agree that the pedestrian has the right away, the guards should not hold traffic.

Outstanding staff very thourough at protecting and educating our children. A fine example of what a elementary school should be rated no less than an A.

I dread my child attending this school again - not because of teacher and staff, but because of the administrations intentional insulation from the main focus: the childrens well-rounded education, happiness and safety.

We moved in January from Arizona and the curriculum is great. I love the emphasis on writing, the arts, science, music and PE. It also has high security. Nevertheless, the teacher is highly impatient and picky. My daughter is hyperactive. I asked for a different teacher, and they told me my daughter had to learn to work with them and they with her. I have shared my concerns with the teacher and the counselor, but they stick to unwritten rules and red tape, sometimes to the point of putting aside common sense and flexibility.

Ms. Borach is the worst thing to happen to this school. She is the most unprofessional administrator.
