My son has attended this school since it's opening. (Prior to attending CCSE he was in a private school.) I love CCSE because it is a family atmosphere, with a Principle that knows every child by name and truly cares about his students. The staff is excellent and you can tell they have a passion for teaching. The discipline is excellent and there is a zero tolerance when it comes to bullying.
My son attended this school last year (2009-2010). Because of the drive I put him a in new school this year. This was a mistake. The new school I chose, which was supposed to be wonderful, was a chaotic mess. He came home in tears every day. I withdrew him and put him back in CCSE. He came home his first day absolutely beaming and said "Mom! It was so calm!" I don't intend to send him anywhere else. CCSE is an excellent school.
So far I've found the teachers to be qualified and very communicative with the parents. It's only 5 days into the school year, and we've had some difficulties with the 'school leader' (who has a sign hanging outside his office saying 'school principal'). Hopefully he won't make this environment one of a power struggle due to his own insecurities and need to control. Apparently he can and does change policy whenever he wants to.
