I cannot speak for THS today but I owe what I am in today's world to Titusville HIgh School. I went to school there in the 60s, graduated in the top 5% of my class, attended the University of Florida, and have been a teacher of gifted math students for the last 25 years here in Texas (Thank you Mr, Davis.). One of my first teaching assignments was at THS. As a student there I was involved in band, as a majorette and as an aspiring musician. I loved most of the teachers I had and liked the rest. The students in my classes are still some of my dearest friends today even though we are scattered all over the country and many have made some very impressive contributions to our world . I moved (reluctantly at first) to Titusville from Denver when I was in the 4th grade and I did have an adjustment period but to you who might not have found your place yet, get involved and contribute and you will find your home there.

As a new student at THS, I've found it difficult to get involved here. Most of the students aren't including at all, and it has been very hard to make friends. I absolutely love the teachers, though. Dr. Spinner is also very involved both during school hours and after. She is present at every single home game. Also, the AP classes at THS are good. I think they should make a program for new students though, to make them feel more welcome.

I had the time of my life going to Titusville High. It has so many great stereotypical high school qualities, yet many things that make it so unique. The music program is one of the best in the state of Florida. The sports programs are competitive and often successful. In any case, they build up the school's spirit sky high.

This school holds the future of both my sons and already had to loose too many teachers and resources due to budget restrictions. The staff is dedicated and intensely engaged in a quality education for the students.

I've gone to Titusville High School for 2 years and I have to say its pretty great. The teachers are my favorite thing about the school. They are so supportive. The music and health and human services programs are the best in the county. We have some fantastic sports teams including our swimming, football, girls basketball teams, both tennis and cross country teams. I can say that I throughly enjoy going to Titusville High School.

We have a daughter in the 9th grade. We are very pleased with the school. The band program is awesome. They got a superior in all the categories. There is so many awesome teachers and staff there. The school has a lot to offer and has a lot of clubs and sports. Every student should get involved in something. We can't wait for all the construction to be over and the school will be looking great. You should be involved in your child before you know it they will be on their own. You can always volunteer somewhere in the school. Email is the very best, when you email a teacher they get right back to you. We have been very pleased with the response. Going on the web site you can learn a lot about the school.

We re-located here from Wales in the United Kingdom. My son is a fluent Welsh speaker and did NOT use English while at school. Titusville High made us very welcome. The Guidance Councillor facilitated my son's choice of subjects. He has settled in very well and is achieving excellent grades. He has access to the swimming pool and countless sporting activities. He is growing as a person both accademically and socially. Me and my husband have already had the opportunity to meet his teachers at 'open house'. Thank you Titusville High so much. Diolch yn fawr iawn (thank you very much)

Just purchasing a home in this area proved to be difficult; we have high school age children who have changed schools three times in the past 2 years due to my job reassignment. The faculty and administration have been very helpful and professional, which has eased the transition. The academics rival any other state's that my children have attended. It has met our expectations.

Titusville High is a terrible high school. The staff is very rude. The teachers are lazy. Last year in Biology Honors we didn't do any labs! I am very surprised that our school received a school grade of C. We should have received a D! The music program is just about the best program in the school. Compared to other schools in the country, Titusville High's average SAT score is extremely low. I am very glad I am moving to a different state and will be going to a school where the average SAT score is 200 points higher.

I beleive this school does the best it can to keep violence out of the school. It also has great extra curricular programs which they make fun for the student. The parents can be involed in anything they want as long as they have filled out a form(which you can find in the front office).

My child is completing 10th grade and has taken mostly Honors and AP classes. I am generally happy with THS but I wish that the student/teacher ratio in the Honors classes were lower. It isn't fair that students who do poorly on the FCAT earn the smaller teacher/student ratio so that 'No Child will be Left Behind' and hopefully THS earns an A. I also think that the Block Schedule has drawbacks as far as foreign language is concerned. Students cannot always get Foreign Language I and Foreign Language II in the same academic year and having a year gap is not what I consider the proper way to learn any foreign language. I think the Guidance Office needs to extend its afternoon hours at least one afternoon a week to make it more accessible to working parents. THS does seem to be responsive to email queries.

Overall I would rate THS favorably, except I have found it rather difficult getting some teachers to respond to my calls or e-mails. It seems to be a larger problem in the math department than in other areas.

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
