This school is great. My daughter attends grade K with Mrs. Martinez. The teacher is wonderful, and tries to adapt to her own special need. The staff members are great too, always smiling. I really feel welcome every time I visit the school, because they show a friendly environment. And I love the fact that they are always keeping you updated with phone messages.
I believe some of the 2008 reviews as the culture in the school has changed since then. The previous principal for many years resigned in 2010 & with her many problems. She fostered an attitude of disrespect, a condesending attitude & rudeness towards parents. Parents could not question anything because she would tell them they could go somewhere else if they did not like it! Thankfully we have a new principal that respects parents. The culture in the the school has changed & the staff is more respectful, friendly & open.
Equestrian Trails is well organized, well run , and an excellent school overall. I sent all three kids there and experienced their gifted program and the regular... Both are excellent. Teachers are very nice and dedicated to the kids as it should be. I feel glad they all got a good start with nice teachers who motivated them to learn alot. They all left with a good attitude about school.
My daughter studied and attended after care from second grade to fifth grade in ETES. Initially she was loner kind of girl. School gave her 'how to make friends' training and while leaving school she was confident, academically good and happy kid with good no of friends. I like this school for my daughter. Only thing bothered me was too many fund raising (optional) events but we didn't participate in many. I don't mind giving money directly to school so school should consider that option too. Thank you all the ETES staff.
I am a student who attended Equestrian Trails Elementary School for ALL six years. ETES is the school to be. The principal, staff and teachers are amazing. Students can learn a lot from this school, and I know I have. Not only do you succeed as a student, but this school is extremely FUN!!!!! They have tons of activities and events, that students will enjoy. So all I'm saying to you parents is, atleast try the school and I guarantee, you will be glad that you made this wonderful decision. Have Fun!
You know what, i was being a little too harsh on that comment below. He wasnt a horrible teacher, infact, he was very nice at times and was a very effective teacher. However, he did give a VERY hard time to a select few of us. and he doesnt really " irk me to my very core " he just bother me like a gnat every time i think about him.
I was a student there and its a good school. The teachers put in there all to make sure the students suceed. There are alot of school activities like Boo Bingo, Math Carnivel,Summer Camp, and ETC. I honestly loved my 4 years there as a student. GO ETES!!!!!
I absolutely love love this school and anyone who has said otherwise is ridiculas..my daughter is in 1st grade and its her 2nd year there and has Miss Webba dn we adore her..The principle is great..I have nothing but nuce things to say about this school..My child has learned soo much there:) Go Equestrian Trails!
I had a horrible experience already @ this school and I had to take my children out. The teacher my son had was found to yell at children and he never went over lessons more than once and when I went to the principal she would not help and refused to change the teacher, she only returned calls and didn't even suggest to sit down and discuss it. This school had been great but it is declining. I had to find a better school/learning enviroment for my kids. It was a sad and frustrating experience for my family.
Its a great school, great teachers and great parents that help out...
