This is my sixth year at the school and intend to be there another 9. The office staff is VERY busy, that is to be expected, but Lucy at the front desk is always VERY friendly and helpful. The Registrar Christine, she is not very friendly, and my kids are actually afraid of her{ that is the only negative issue I have with the school.} This school is intense. They prep for the standardized tests at a very intense level. The parents are hard core involved. It is sometimes hard to get in to volunteer in the class because the parents are tripping over each other trying to get their turn. Look forward to a couple hours of homework a night. My kids always pass the standardized test above the national level. It is small and the kids are WONDERFUL! The kids are super sweet and well mannered. The parents being involved+the kids attitudes+ intense curriculum= Success. It is a lot of work, but I teach my kids to work hard during the week and then we play hard on days off. If you cannot spend time helping your kids during the week, cannot dedicate hours to the school, then it may not be the school for you. I recommend this school to the hardworking kids and parents that want to succeed.

This school is all hype. The office staff look and act like chickens with there heads cut off. If there's an emergency well good luck getting anyone to answer phone. My childs had 3 different teaches in 7 months. The 2nd teacher told me some of the students are behind on basics. When field trips are planned you only get 1/2 wks in advance and you have to come up with alot of $ right away. There school dances are always canceled because students don't don't attend. The sports teams are horrible. From disorganized, overpriced, favoritism, no parent communication on game updates, cancelations of games, nothing. They have a website where teachers are to post your child's homework except they do not. The site will send all kinds of nonsense except anything that has to do with your child. It's very frustrating! The guidance council is not qualified. She's a random parent/ volunteer. I have been trying to reach her for 5 weeks with no return phone calls, email, nothing! Trust me the school is a mess! Oh and they will donate your child's cloths if not picked up within 1 wk of them losing it without first notifying or warning parents.

My school is excellent. The teachers and the administrative staff are incredibly gentle and professional. My daughter performance in school improved extremely once she entered in this school. The environment is very disciplined but at the same time, they are sweet and cooperatives with parents and students. I strongly recommend this school.

This is the our first year at the middle school and we are impressed with the quality of education that our child is receiving. The middle school is small enough so there is control over students. The teachers are well qualified and emphasize discipline, responsibility, and independence. The rigor of the work is discouraging to students who do not desire to study but overall, the hard worker and overachiever will do well. The school's environment is geared towards producing quality work. The students succeed are the ones who put in the hard work expected by the middle school curriculum. It is a friendly environment where peer pressure is almost non-existent. We are really pleased with the staff and the environment suits us well. The uniforms are a plus. We were not looking for a middle school with hundreds of students. The only downside to this school is that sports and transportation to students living outside the area are limited.Otherwise, it is worth the lottery selection.

Recently I withdrew my children from this school. The reasons, somehow obvious, but to mention a few: over the years, this school has lost too many valuables teachers; the ones remaining, some are good, but many need to improve their learning and communication with students. The new staff at the front office is very rude; I don't know how they manage their way into an office position this year, maybe it was because of a bad reference. Administration has changed so much over the years, that they can't keep the school/students/teacher organized. The school grounds are dirty and not well kept. I would not recommend this school.

Different than others reviews this school is loosing value, at the beginning was ok, not excellent but ok. Thru the years is loosing touch with the community and kids, administration is change so many times that lost consistency, academically some good teachers make the school survive thru the standard state test. The old personnel still there, do not have good manners, lack of leadership, too many rules that do not work. Mornings are very dangerous, unorganized, no parking facilities, police presence is there but do not resolve the issue. Drivers and a lot of parents are rude. They do not comply what they claim in their web sites and marketing. School surroundings are ugly and dirty, front desk very unorganized. I have my kids for 4 years and I see all the good and the bad, in general school has a behavior problem, bulling is one of them which is not address properly. Too many kids in a small building they mix middle school and elementary with no resources, kids do not have opportunities to grow. Some teachers are good, the rest need experience and education. PTA is the same for years not to helpful. They did good but today is not the same. I will not recommend this school.

I considered Imagine Charter School at Weston is excellent . The front office staff is amazing and always offer their best smile to help me. This is my 2nd year at this school and I only have amazing things to say. The teachers are awesome. They take the time to always involve the parents, and advise of their children's progress. They have many extracurricular activities available for the kids after school. The also host many family activities through out the year. They do require lots of parental involvement but that is what makes the school the best in Weston!

EXCELLENT SCHOOL, IMAGINE AT WESTON has met and exceeded my expectation s. The teachers are professional and caring. They take time to discuss kid s progress and are very knowledgeable about them their strengths and weaknesses. Many of the teachers have been there for years, a very good sign. The Staff knows all the children and parents, and there are hundreds of them. They always address any concerns in a polite and friendly manner. . The school has hosted many school-wide family activities and parents are made to feel very welcome and appreciated. Imagine is so large for a very good reason, they have many satisfied parents. The Bilateral academic program is outstanding. I couldn't ask for more peace of mind when I drop my son off in the morning...Thanks

Yes it's the first day but we had to rate our experience . We have our little one in Kindergaten. She came back home happy of being in the class. The teacher already sent us updates via email about the activities done during the day. Seems like communication is a big thing and we love it. It was worth the wait!

My 3rd child is at this school, and it continues to improve every year. The leadership and performanance of the school under Imagine and Mrs Vernon is at it's best. My child partipates in the bi-literate program and what a GREAT opportunity to graduate from 5th grade knowing how to read and write in both English and Spanish.

Severe overcrowding. Teaching to a FCAT test. Academically poor with many students needing tutors & repeating grades. Vicious carpool & parking situation. In Weston you get what you pay for so skip all public schools like this and pay for a private school.

I think this school has been an excellent choice for our children. My older daughter went to this school from 3rd grade to 5th grade. She excelled so well and was so well prepared that when she arrived at Tequesta she was placed in all advanced classes and currently a straight A student. Our younger daughter is also following in her sister's footsteps. For us this school has only been fantastic!

I have been at this school since it opened and feel my kids have had great teachers. I do have concerns regarding the principle's refusal to hear anything negative. I feel she does try to be intimidating and discourages feedback from parents that is not 100% positive. The teachers are caring and very responsive with parents. I think there have been several programs that have been promoted that have fallen by the wayside without comment.

We LOVE this school. Mrs. Geller is an AWSOME kindergarten teacher. The kids use computers in class. Each grade level is involved in a school play, the music program is great. PE 3 times a week and recess everyday is also a plus. Having a full time aid is wonderful. I recomend this school to everyone. My son is getting a stronger more rounded education than his cousins in private school. The ability to comunicate with teachers and staff is amazing. Parents always feel welcome and a part of the team.

This school has starting been a big disappointment. It is probably fine for most kids, but our third grader 'gifted student' that needs accelerated learning opportunities is only receiving it in a regular class instead of a special class with students at the same level, even when they have assigned two teachers in two different rooms for that purpose. The PTP leadership team is much closed organization which has been basically, the same group of parents (all ladies) during the last three years. All the extracurricular activities require a payment which in most cases is really high. The most critical part is the amount of fund raising activities they have in a regular school year and the way they are developing a consumerism behavior with our children.

We ended up disappointed of this school. The teacher was not able to use appropriate techniques to control and give feedback to the children, causing a lot of distress in my child. My daughter ended up trying to avoid school almost every day (she is thriving in her new school). Although help was requested on to improve on this area several times, it never materialized. The number of children per class exceeded the documented by the school. There was not enough hands on education, minimal arts and science orientation. There was a high focus on reading and math; however it seemed it was exam oriented education. Emphasis on building character was good. Parent involvement is high; however school seems very dependable on this area. Educational material was low, requesting class parents to provide the materials. Extracurricular activity is appropriate for school size.

Chancellor Charter at Weston has been a good school for my 3rd and 5th graders. The new principal and her staff have done an outstanding job of correcting the dismissal issues the school previously had. The exterior as well as the interior of the school looks great and the staff is always willing to help the children and the parents. Academically the school is excellent. They took the time to prepare the children well for the FCAT, and it showed in their outstanding scores. All the teachers I've met there are kind, well-trained professionals who really care for the students and help them succeed. The school also does a great job in keeping the parents informed about their child's progress.

This is my third year at the Charter school and I am extremely satisfied with the academic achievements my children have made with the help of their teachers! They are quite advanced in comparison to children of their age from other schools. The arrival and dismissal procedures and safety of the children have improved greatly with the school's new leadership. I feel very fortunate that my children are able to attend this school. I've continue to see nothing but positive progress and improvements. (Every school has parents who don't follow the rules or actively participate and those are the ones who create hazards and cause negativity.)I would and do, highly recommend this school to anyone.

Sadly the majority of the teachers do not care about the overall well being of the students, they constantly scream in the classrooms and seem to have no control over the class. With their motto of ' this is a school of choice' no one takes the time to see what the problems are and fix them. It takes much more than to say you are a great school and awsome principal to be one. Arrival and dismissal are a disaster. The overall campus and classrooms are way too small.

Great Curriculum. Great 3rd grade team! Dissappointing 4th grade team. More experienced teachers needed in 4th grade. ESE needs to be improved. More emphasis on the 'childrens needs' required vs. how can we spend less money on the children to stay in budget.

Excellent School with an awesome curriculum!! The new principal is doing a great job. I find the teaching at this school is not to the lowest common denominator (as in other local public schools). A lot is expected of the kids and the teachers work hard to ensure consistent learning. Very involved parents are WELCOMED at this school.

Great school!! The curriculum far exceeds the local public schools. Teachers at this school really care and go the extra mile! The administration is very accessible and works cooperatively with a very involed parent base. This school also has built a strong community through excellent family nights (movie night, book fair and pizza and bingo). We are happy we chose the 'school of choice.'

My children have been at the school since opening. We have had high quality teachers who can teach the advanced curriculum as well as genuinly care for the students. We have had turnover in administration, but now our leadership is exceptional. We have qualified leaders, great teachers who are constantly getting extra training, a magnificient curriculum, involved parents, and happy students; what else could you want from a school?

November 04, 2003
My kids have attended this school since it opened in 2001. The curriculum is much more advanced than the curriculum at the local public schools. There has been some bad publicity lately surrounding teacher turnover and leadership. I believe that their current principal/assistant principal are both excellent and will overcome any past problems with leadership within the school.

We are in our third year at this school and each year the school gets better and better. My two children really love their teachers and their school. The school's curriculum is superior to the other schools in the area and the teachers are very dedicated. Our new principal is providing the leadership which the school lacked in the past. We love our school and would recommend it to anyone.

October 05, 2003
This was the worst overall educational experience my children have ever had. The administrative leadership has always been poor. The parent involvement is not properly managed and students' rights to confidentiality are violated on a daily basis. The curriculum is inconsistent across the board and leaves gaps in learning. They lose students after school due to disorganization and cutting buses. The school climate is very negative. The only reason people stay is that they are trying to avoid overcrowded classrooms and they don't want to move their children.

It is an excellent school. Academically it challenges the students to learn more than other public schools. Yes, it is true there are problem, but what new enterprise that is just starting does nor have it. In regarding leadership, in the past we didn't have it, but now sure we do, and a very good one. It's just time. But my big concern is why are parents giving such a bad reputation to the school, but their kids are still inside, don't you see this is a school of choice, don't like it go.
