WHHS is a great high school. The teachers may not know how to always run their classrooms but they do care. If the students were better behaved maybe the teachers could teach better. The principal is one of the best principals I've ever had. The construction the school is under is only temporary and its making the school look nicer. It may be a little chaotic sometimes but it will work out. Winter Haven has alot of extracurriculars and plenty of sports. It is almost impossibe not to be involved in something there. Their are tons of clubs. The current principal is awesome. She cares about the students and faculty. The school is great. I would recommend teaching or attending the school to anyone. The students who act out there are diciplined appropiatly. Some of the teachers have made my life a lot better. They act like they care and actually respect the students. Winter Haven Senior High may not be perfect but it sure is a great school. The coaches are awesome. They have great opportunities if you want to take college courses there on the campus itself.

The teachers mainly just tell us what to do, and sit at there desks. The students are harsh. The school itself isn't kept up with, and all the new construction is confusing and chaotic. Not a good school!

from a students standpoint i think that winter haven is a poorly run school with the exception of some deans and the principal. The teachers do not care about anything but a check and the students do not know how to behave nor, do the teachers know how to handle the students most times they let them yell and scream all class period and the students like to mess with other kids and interrupt the educational process

I just wanted to say that I love it, it may not look very good and the reputation may not be the best but some of the teachers are very attentive to their students, and make time for one on one if it is needed.

Winter Haven High School gives a well rounded education to the students that enroll there. There are many students that excel and even start college with an advantage due to the amount of Advanced Placement classes offered. WHHS offers many extracurricular activities that allow each student to find something they can enjoy and belong to. WHHS is cultured and has an award winning band and chorus. Academically, for the most part the teachers care about the students and prepare them for tests like the FCAT. The administration cares about the well being and safety of each student and enforces policies to make it a safe learning environment for everyone. WHHS is an example of a good school that is sending out great students into the world to make it a better place.

This school is a good example of a poorly run school. Many of the graduating students have to take remedial classes at the local community college. The teachers are nice but not good at educating and the administration is mainly concerned with the appearance of quality. Double standards are the norm.
